Hi tippytoes!!! LOL, you can have that flitting .gif of Monte be your trademark. As far as I'm concerned, that is my Monte gif forever and ever. It's the one gif that I don't even care what GNAFL is doing... I only watch it to see Monte drifting like a pointy-fingered guitar-god ghost from right to left across the stage!!! BEST GIF EVAH!!!!!! And tippytoes, WELCOME!!! So happy you've come out to play with us!! YOU DON'T EVEN CARE WHAT GNAFL IS DOING ?!?!?!?!?! BRB, hunting down every one of yer shocked .gifs to throw back at you. He's AWESOME in that .gif (took me five tries before I even saw Monte), who is moving like the ghost in that haunted Gilligan's Island episode ...

I have been bogged down with grading papers for much of the day, taking brief breaks to catch up on the daily thread. And to reward myself for slogging thru the grading, one of my least favorite things about teaching.
What does that have to do with Adam? Glad you asked. Usually when I am grading I cannot listen to vocal music, as the lyrics distract me from the content I am reading. However, during one of the breaks I had my iTunes Adam section playing. I think I was looking up the keys to the FYE and Acoustic Aftermath. I didn't stop the music when I went back to my grading.'
As I was working I noticed that, rather than being distracted by Adam singing, I was actually feeling more relaxed and positive doing the grading chore. Amazing! I have always known that the VOICE touches me deeply and makes me feel good, but who could have guessed it would do so while immersed in another activity? Just hearing the VOICE has soothing, happy subconscious effects. That is powerful stuff!!!

cassie, I don't know why Adam's voice makes me so happy, but it does. It goes beyond the effect from good music.

And, nope.... I have a gazillion hot-as-hell GNAFL gifs, but this is the only one I have of a hilarious-as-hell stage ghost. Haha, Seoulmate!!! I looked for the YouTube and did find a couple, but they really didn't show the ghost doing that lateral-levitation move that I was looking for. (It did take me back though.) Cassie, I have a very difficult time writing or reading with Adam on because it's so difficult not to actively listen to him. But I can't relate to people who can't listen to him while driving. OMG! As someone who commutes two-hours a day, I'd have an infinitely higher stress level if not for Adam. tippytoes, Many of us have discussed it, and we're convinced Adam's voice does have a metabolic effect on us. There is literally some kind of chemical reaction that occurs when we hear him, whether it's a release of endorphins or serotonin, I don't know. But I'm convinced it is one of the many reasons he's so addictive. It is also why some of us can hear him and be completely transported while others don't ~get it.
