This guy has been the music director for many big names! I would say, at this point, we still don't know what the next single is going to be! We do know that Adam has a new musical director, though...and that he has an impressive resume!  And he's cute   Oh my, he IS cute! I wonder how tall he is. I want him to fit into Adam's pocket-band... ;D ;D |

A musical director isn't necessarily playing with the band.
Maybe we should wait until we find out what is going on??

Maybe Kevin just had another opportunity he wanted to explore. Not everything has to be a scandal or a falling-out. Sometimes people just change jobs. So true. I really liked Kevin with Adam. He added a level of maturity and professionalism to the band that was needed, IMO. But this new guy looks cool and sure has an impressive resume. Hope he works out well. I'm still hoping for NCOE for next single - it's so hooky.  |

Bruno Mars was a songwriter/arranger/producer long before he put his first solo single out there. Bruno built his reputation as a songwriter and musician before he even introduced himself as a singer and performer. I'm sure many Adam fans would agree with you- that Adam is as accomplished at songwriting as Bruno and Adele. However, the overwhelming majority of radio listeners and the music industry would not agree with your statement in any way. I love Adam to death, but my opinion is that he is still working on his songwriting skills. He is still having to rely on others to help him write songs. He is a co-writer. IMO, Adams greatest assets lie in singing and performing at this time. Bruno and Adele have been writing songs, complete songs with melodies, for years. It takes time to become a PINK, Adele or Bruno. It's a process and Adam is learning. Right now Bruno and Adele have an industry wide respect all over the world for many songs that they have written, including multiple Grammy nominations and awards. How could the majority of radio listeners agree or disagree with me, if they never heard any of adam's songs on the radio? And I don't know specifically about Adele, but I know the majority of pop songs are co-written. Pink's WWFM was a co-write. Everybody does it, and it doesn't take away from Adam as a song writer. Given his nature, I don't know if he'll ever decide to write by himself. Adele's and Bruno's songs have been awarded multiple Grammy awards and too many other awards to even list. Adele's album was the Album of the Year and is about to go DIAMOND in the US alone. At this point, it;s almost like comparing Bruno to The Beatles. He has a ways to go!  Adam has a ways to go. PINK has been the primary writer of many songs over the years, that have not only gone on to become massive hits, but have received industry respect and industry rewards. We aren't talking about a newbie here. Adele is the primary writer of the lyrics of every song (except for the cover song) on her album that was Album of the Year. It's hard to argue with that. You can, but there aren't many people outside of the fandom that would agree with you. That's who I'm referring to when I say radio listeners. Maybe I should say music listeners and the music industry. Why can't Adam be a one-of-a-kind vocalist and performer who is a good co-writer and is still working on his skills in that area? Adam, himself, would never put himself in the category as someone like Adele or PINK, at this time. He knows that he is just starting out and is learning. There is nothing wrong with this! He can continue to learn about writing good Pop songs (which is what he is doing) for years and years! |
