I think she's hosting it, and Adam is the only person she mentioned when talking about being excited about it. lol

Maybe Kevin just had another opportunity he wanted to explore. Not everything has to be a scandal or a falling-out. Sometimes people just change jobs. That is true. Remember Lisa Harrinton(?) who was hired for the first promo gigs for FYE? For people like this--it's a gig. There is no tour planned to keep someone engaged beyond radio promo. |

so it looks like Adam already knew Brian L, and Brian referred Kevin to Adam. so Kevin is possibly still in the picture. I think it is strange that this guy would announce that he is Adam's music director, Adam is usually the one to let that kind of news out. Maybe we are jumping the gun here? |

How could the majority of radio listeners agree or disagree with me, if they never heard any of adam's songs on the radio? And I don't know specifically about Adele, but I know the majority of pop songs are co-written. Pink's WWFM was a co-write. Everybody does it, and it doesn't take away from Adam as a song writer. Given his nature, I don't know if he'll ever decide to write by himself. Adele's and Bruno's songs have been awarded multiple Grammy awards and too many other awards to even list. Adele's album was the Album of the Year and is about to go DIAMOND in the US alone. At this point, it;s almost like comparing Bruno to The Beatles. He has a ways to go!  Adam has a ways to go. PINK has been the primary writer of many songs over the years, that have not only gone on to become massive hits, but have received industry respect and industry rewards. We aren't talking about a newbie here. Adele is the primary writer of the lyrics of every song (except for the cover song) on her album that was Album of the Year. It's hard to argue with that. You can, but there aren't many people outside of the fandom that would agree with you. That's who I'm referring to when I say radio listeners. Maybe I should say music listeners and the music industry. Why can't Adam be a one-of-a-kind vocalist and performer who is a good co-writer and is still working on his skills in that area? Adam, himself, would never put himself in the category as someone like Adele or PINK, at this time. He knows that he is just starting out and is learning. There is nothing wrong with this! He can continue to learn about writing good Pop songs (which is what he is doing) for years and years! TO ME: ALL of the songs that Adam co-wrote are BETTER than any of the songs that he did not - this includes FYE and TP stuff that we've heard so far. I can literally "pick" those, there is something special to the musicality and the depth of his lyrics... even the "crazy" ones, like DTRH and CC. (unlike the "same old" whiny stuff of WWFM, BTIKM and NCOE) So, I can't agree more with the "take the risk" argument... My gut feel - it is NCOE and that's that. (We ARE repeating ourselves over and over again ;D) Re "new music director": may be Mr. London is the MD for staging" the NNN and AI live performances? and Kevin is the MD for the radio promo? All of this seems to be very fluid, no permanency... IT is all good - our HBIC is the boss and in charge anyway...  |
