miachihu thanks. All that makes sense. Even as an American I struggle with words of songs and even songs I've been singing along to for decades I may not fully understand what the exact words are. Adam does makes it easy. I am glad non-native speakers notice the difference. I would say that songs have expressions that we may not use in every day conversation but that we all know well--at least Adam's. I've probably never said "crazy train" but I certainly know it. Adam also uses words in new, creative ways, like "the ether that I tapped into" and "optimistic vine". Adam's vocabulary and language skills are higher than the average Joe's (see, an expression meaning the average person's ) Add his creativity and I think we will get songs that are so much deeper than what's out there now. Of course there's also the "cool" music that tries to keep-up with, or create, ever-changing street slang. But this is not what Adam is doing. Thanks again for all your translations, by the way. We'd all spam the thread if we posted it every time we thought it! ETA: thanks to you other posters who responded--I understand what you mean by the feel of the song. If there is ever a question on lyrics, please ask!!! "Get a load of me" is a pretty prominent lyric to not understand correctly!!

I think I figured out what is at the root of my anxiety about the next single (besides not feeling it's hook, or enough Adam, or that it doesn't rank anywhere near the top of the polls I've seen, yada yada). Bottom line: I trust ADAM. Nobody else! It pains me to think that RCA could be making a decision that may goes against HIS instincts. This is his baby, and although they are the ones with the experience and investment, what they base their decision on is not necessarily what Adam would. It's like XFactor last season -- sure, the judges were "experts" in the field but it seemed so obvious that they only muddled it up. I shutter to think if Adam had been on that show instead of Idol. Anyway, that's it. I trust Adam--I am uncomfortable with others having a hand in it, who although are on his side, are still, NOT ADAM. In all fairness to RCA, this is uncharted territory. Adam is an openly gay, very male, unapologetically sexual performer looking to break through in a struggling economy, at a time when the music market is fragmented and the purchasing model has completely changed, during a conservative backlash in the US political climate. Oofta. No challenge there, eh? He's doing what he can, and I believe RCA is, too. Although it would make me happier if they cloned Shoshanna and had a US equivalent working it the way she does. Oh, and as for "get a load of me," I don't think it means anything other than, "hey, look at me!" But I could be wrong!

I don't have any problem with RCA other than they are NOT ADAM. Get a load of me is like "hey look at me" but with the implication that there is a lot, or something special (good or bad), to see. And it isn't necessary referring to visual "seeing" either, just anything over the top. It's laced with attitude.

Yeah, "get a load" just means, "Hey, pay attention to this." As in "Hey, get a load of that car!" Or you might say it about something someone said, as in, "Would you get a load of that?" Usually said sarcastically, as if the person had a lot of "B.S. in their bag." "Get loaded," on the other hand, means to get drunk.

Ha, ha! Bo, bo I don't know what you think "get a load of me" means, but I am imagining! What it actually means is just "wait until you see me because you ain't seen nothing like me yet!" Miachihu, I guess international fans will be thinking 'thingses" is now a correct plural!! Thanks mys*&@^#r! I will not explain what I thought "get a load of me" means! OMG :-[

So they'd sing along to "Let's Juice" but not know what they are saying? Interesting.
Guess watching Adam "sway to the music" as he sang "Let's Dance" would be all the interpretation needed. Wonder if his stage expressiveness is also an attraction internationally?
