Just curious...does it ever make you cry (from the joyousness of it all?) Because it does me. And I'll admit that I cried happy tears more than once at Adam's GN shows--just from pure beauty/joy/vibes I'd never experienced before. I wish I'd been in THAT crowd, too! AND...Adam's voice is as recognizable to me throughout the whole thing as the HeWhoCannot amedet(s)! Will he ever wear the silver pants again? I don't cry no but I can understand that, it's very uplifting! It's a tribute, but a celebration of life rather than the mourning of the loss of a life. I wish there more tribute songs like that And yes, Adam is very recognisable, even when he's just off in the background nonchalantly belting out those crazy high notes! ;D

Oh, no. Easter will be but a distant memory by Monday night. Culturally speaking, America is about WORK WORK WORK. As a friend of mine put it, you don't get to be a superpower by taking off work for things as silly as your soul, family, or rest. LOL. Christmas is the only religious holiday that is a national holiday in the U.S. The other national holidays are secular in nature. It is a cut throat business .... but it also works the other way around ... me and my boss set "out of office" today whith the attitude of "get lost peeps" ... in a country where tomorrow is NOT universally off .... business will go on, we will prosper anyhow, and time off is important. US has to adapt, if they want to do businesss. BTW Have you ever asked an American for a meeting on July4th???? ETA: Yall know why I neeeeed tomorrow off, don't you? The funniest things are the local traditions/holidays that no one else understands. Like cities with big Irish populations that shut down on St. Patrick's Day; or Louisville, Kentucky that shuts down almost the whole week of the Kentucky Derby (US's premiere horse race). Austin nearly came to its knees when the University of Texas won the football national championship. I don't think anyone did any work for a week. LOL. My dad worked for IBM and when he did business with the "World Trade" unit he was astonished by how many holidays y'all get. I wish we got so much time off. I'm lucky -- I work for the state and we get more time off than people in private industry. Anyway -- the important thing is that nothing so trivial as Easter will interfere with the forward motion of AFL! And believe me, May 15 is going to be a virtual day off here at my desk, I guarantee it. ;D

I have often doubted the loyalty of those of you who hold full time jobs. If you were REAL Adam fans, you would give him your full attention. i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/02/24/article-2106126-11E34878000005DC-291_634x382.jpgI"ve found the accommodations are adequate, but the Wifi connection is a little iffy. You need a recommendation from a present occupant to get in, so let me know if you want to make a lifestyle change. savvy LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quitting my job as we speak. Starving Stans Inc is a way to go.

OTT This is probably a bad time to post this because everyone is so excited today about new Adam stuff, but I’ve been thinking for a while that I’d like to host a small weekend get-together for those of us in the vast wasteland of mid-America (ok, I’ll admit I’m jealous of the stans who gathered at mayumi’s and I want to have some fun, too!). So I’ve kinda randomly picked the weekend of June 22-24 to have a party, and I’m just assuming any people interested will be within driving distance of East central Illinois (although you would be welcome no matter where you call home). My house isn’t large so we may have to squeeze a little and haul out the sleeping bags if very many are interested, but my desire to meet fellow Adam stans IS huge. I’ll take further discussion of this to the members thread for privacy’s sake, but I’m hoping some of you will be interested enough to check further. FYI, I’m about 3 ½ hrs from the edge of St. Louis, 2 hrs from Indy, and 2 hrs. from Chicago & I’m in a college town! Excellent plan, laceyrose. Why should the southern chicks have all the fun? As a Chicagoan, I would love to meet other Adam stans , but unforunately I'm on vacation that weekend. But I know there are at least 10-12 others on this board from the area, so hopefully others can make it. Sorry you can't make it Crispy, but I sure hope some other Chicagoans can. BTW the 2 hrs from C to C starts at I-80/I-57 interchange.
