Gosh, my phone is off the hook. Just love tweeting Adam. What a great day to be an Adam Lambert fan. Can't wait for his performance tomorrow. You said it!! For me, there is no better artist to love and support than Adam. We are going to go nuts tomorrow night with the Idol performance. What an exciting time!

Delurking to say that he is totally cracking me up right now. Has he ever tweeted this much in such a short amount of time without it being a twitter party? IJLHSFM!!!! Nope! Shows you how much this song and project mean to him. And how much he realizes the power of his fanbase! That's what I thought!! This fanbase is CRAZY powerful and I am glad to be a part of it! Adam is really committed to the positive and I'm so happy that we are able to help him get his message out. It's so much fun being a fan, following all the exciting things that are happening to him!

Yes, Cassie, the melody is quite different in several places.. and it is definitely not the FYE melody track.. I haven't read the whole thread so someone else may have said this already, but aren't the vocals recorded in layers, these layers adding up to the entire sound when finished? Maybe this is just one of those layers, making it sound somewhat different. Just a thought..... I think that's entirely plausible and possible!!

Maybe this is just one of those layers, making it sound somewhat different. Just a thought..... Like I said, it could be from an alternate take, but it is not directly lifted from the FYE version on the CD. The first phrase is not only different melodically, but is slower and a couple of seconds longer. I don't know the capabilities of today's electronic equipment, but, I find it hard to believe that it can stretch out the phrase, change the notes (not just autotune them to the right pitch), and still be in the same key. And that beginning phrase doesn't have any extra layers. Just the lead vocal. I can hear big differences in the vocal, but I know nothing about the limits of electronic doodads.

Monterrific Monte Pittman ...and you'll hear Aftermath yet another way you've never heard before tomorrow on American Idol NOW THIS I AM TRULY EXCITED ABOUT!!!
The remix surprised me a lot. I listened to some of Billboard's other work and it was very, very synthy and electronica. This remix, not so much. I know NOT about music. Many here are more educated. I am also way back on the thread, so I appreciate your opinions. The production is actually a bit retro I think. Early 2000s (if you can call that retro). Billboard describes himself as pop/electro on his facebook profile, but he also has elements of hip hop and dubstep. My wildly speculative guess is that he was behind the dupstep bridge on that Britney track, not Dr Luke. There's the merest dub hint on this remix, and I almost wish it wasn't there because he should either do it or not, not tease with it. The other thing I think is that his production on this remix isn't particularly sophisticated in comparison to the other bits I've heard of his. But in a good way! It allows the vocal to be the track, so you walk away hmming the words rather than the bass line.
