How great is it that he's keeping a journal? He'll have wonderful documentation of his rise to the top (and other things  ). Anyone else curious about it? Just me? Srsly, that should have lots of ammunition for great lyrics. Smart man. |

Delurking to say that he is totally cracking me up right now. Has he ever tweeted this much in such a short amount of time without it being a twitter party? IJLHSFM!!!! Nope! Shows you how much this song and project mean to him. And how much he realizes the power of his fanbase! That's so true. Hope both the song and project get the support they deserve and with his fanbase, I bet they will! |

Srsly, that should have lots of ammunition for great lyrics. Smart man. I was REALLY glad to hear he keeps a journal. I have wondered about that many times! Reminds me of several teachers making me keep a journal as part of a class assignment. One is from college when my son was a baby and I still have it - he is Adam's age and several years ago I pulled it out we read the parts that were about him. It was very interesting:-) ETA: IIHY is playing on my radio right now, Yeah. Usually they play WWFM and have been very good about playing Adam. |

I haven't read the whole thread so someone else may have said this already, but aren't the vocals recorded in layers, these layers adding up to the entire sound when finished? Maybe this is just one of those layers, making it sound somewhat different. Just a thought..... Like I said, it could be from an alternate take, but it is not directly lifted from the FYE version on the CD. The first phrase is not only different melodically, but is slower and a couple of seconds longer. I don't know the capabilities of today's electronic equipment, but, I find it hard to believe that it can stretch out the phrase, change the notes (not just autotune them to the right pitch), and still be in the same key. And that beginning phrase doesn't have any extra layers. Just the lead vocal. I can hear big differences in the vocal, but I know nothing about the limits of electronic doodads. It's entirely possible. My partner says he could do something along those lines with his dj decks and effects machine we have set up in our dining room, and they "only" cost a few thousand £. It wouldn't sound pretty, but it would change and elongate notes. |

It might be a very interesting read! |
