So no one answered my question. IF SOMEONE KNOWS PLEAAAAAAAASE. I DONT WANT TO STAY AT WORK FOR 2 MORE HOURS AFTER I FINISH WORK. The show starts at 7.30 a.m., is 5.30 p.m for me and its the EXACT time i leave from work to go home. I dont know what to do. I guess i'm gonna lock myself at the office but for how long??Does anybody know when they say 7.30 its 7.30 or do i have to wait for 2 hours for Adam to show up? PLEASE, PLEASE , PLEAAAAAASE???? ;D gelly, someone posted yesterday that she listened to Ryan's station everyday and that guest usually comes on at 7:40. Let me find the post. BRB. edit: Okay here it is, and yes, it's PST (Pacific Standard Time). Quick note 'cause I'm at work. I listen to KISS in LA on my way to work. His guests are usually on after 7AM. Most of the time I hear a good part of the interview before getting to work at 7:30 or 7:40. Today I heard Selena and her new single (before I switched the station LOL). In the past, that's the time frame that Adam has been on.

Foofyschmoofer are you new???? Welcome!!!! I love your name! I am, thanks. I was sneaking in. I suppose a fun dance remix for charity is a less of risk for Adam. Unlike with Sleepwalker where his reputation would have been on a line if it hadn't taken off, any business this does is a bonus. I was pondering this morning when I saw Adam's tweet about requesting that they probably sit in meetings thinking of ways to give the fans something to do. The devil makes work for idle hands and all that.

This could be a strategy to start building enthusiasm for Album no.2 , he always said he would like one of his songs to be a single and he still has the DVD to promote. I went ahead and requested the remix from my 2 top 40 stations and I plan to check later today if we will be able to see the spin on yes.com Let the fun of angsting about radio play begin LOLZ Yes but hopefully the creys don't start harassing the stations. I would think more wouldn't add this than would add it. I dunno. I guess I didn't think they were gonna spend the money to promote another single. Maybe we are all just being premature with out ZOMG A NEW SINGLE!&^@&^! flail? Aloha--I didn't really like the song until I heard the acoustic and could focus on the nice lyric and the voice. To me the album production was horribly dated and messy and too loud over the vocals and just didn't suit him as the kind of artist he is. You could tell it was thrown together fast and haphazardly imo. But that's just my opinion. And quite valid. I didn't care for the production but fell in love with the message and lyrics right away. And I did hear Adams voice.. Through all the crap. For some reason I was able to ignore everything bad except for the Alison shrieks.

My theory is that by not releasing a single after IIHY in the US but continuing to release various songs around the world they put US radio in the position of having to push them to release something. I've have long had a feeling that the way Adam's rollout was structured they were always erring on the side of making radio come to them. My feeling is that they did very strategically specific pushes along the way for WWFM and IIHY but for the most part let TV and video in the beginning and then later tour and video do the majority of the promotion. They also did more small station promo combined with the tour but again it seemed to me that in most of those cases the stations were competing and pushing to get him because of the demand rather than him having to fight for promo spots. I remember when people were complaining early in the album release cycle that he wasn't doing enough radio promo and my gut feeling then was that they focused more on pushing TV and VH1 and kind of played hard to get with radio maybe doing deals with just a few big stations initially like Z100 then IIHY actually started with small stations mostly adding along the way coinciding with tour dates. I just strongly feel that they have been making radio come to them. Doing Aftermath as a charity release is a great way to "let" radio have another single and promo has probably built naturally as news of the release got out. Adam stated clearly early on that it WOULDN'T be released to radio and now it is which to me says maybe the radio stations themselves pushed for it.

Since Aftermath/remix is a "charity" thing.. would the adds on radio be handled differentlly?

I can't see radio stations pushing for another single. I mean, didn't he have to fight to get played on some stations anyways? Wasn;t there one that wouldn't play him unless he cracked the top 20 or something? Most pop stations, at least in my area, only play the same few songs from established acts or guaranteed hits. As much a I would like your scenario to be true I just can't see radio begging to get some Adam remix song. *shrugs* But what do I know.

This is a very interesting theory and I hope it is true. I really think they had to use very different tactics with Adam. Rihannsu, I just noticed you are in Davenport, FL, I am in Spring Hill, FL not too far away! I wanted to say that 933flz in Tampa played WWFM and IIHY quite a bit but not nearly as much as the usual suspects. When Adam performed at Tropicana Field and there were supposedly up to 20k people that stayed for the concert, not to mention stellar reviews, I thought local radio would take notice and realize that Adam was a draw and more popular than they thought. However they still dropped IIHY fairly quickly after it peaked while they still played other music ad nauseum. I still think many PDs are resistant to Adam because of his sexuality and it has taken Adam and his management going to much greater lengths than usual to prove that the public is much more accepting than they think.
