I think we're going over the top again with our interpretations, lol, I still smile when I remember all the mythology/pomegranates discussions here and compare them to what actually happened. ( Adam explained it in an interview, as I recall the fruit was a 'spur of the moment' decision, no symbolism intended) 'I don't need no GPS to show me where to go, but I can turn into the North Pole and show you what is cold' IMO, this means: I don't need any fancy devices for direction, I'm not an idiot, I know where the North Pole is ( you can locate it by the Northern Star at night/ the Sun by day/ moss at trees/ ...) but if you keep giving me this shit about No trespassing, I'm going to turn into the North Pole and give you a cold/ chill treatment... i.e. I'm not going to just stand there and take it. That's how I have been interpreting that line too but I like hearing everyone's different thoughts. It's like a good poem where there are multiple right answers. It speaks to people on different levels. Adam's original meaning isn't the only one with value. I imagine he would love this discussion. AND (I use and or but at the begining of sentences and abuse commas regularly :-/) WE HAVE A WHOLE ALBUM COMING OF ADAM'S SONGS NEXT MONTH TO DISECT!!! The line My heart is gold my body is glass come on baby can't you see. I read as my heart is full of love and I'm not hiding anything. A take on his I'm an open book and wears his heart on his sleeve. Stop freaking out about all the other bullshit, he's a good guy, until you cross him or tell him no then you'll get frozen out and he'll just keep on struting up that optimistic vine... Ok, what's an optimistic vine a metaphor for? (Shit I just ended a sentance with a preposition. >:( ) It makes me want an animated video of Adam going on a hero's journey climbing vines to mountaintops..faces cracking...

Awww Adam started following both of his back up singers! Keisha Renee' @keisharenee Background for Adam Lambert. Apart of the A Group background for Jill Scott. American Idol Season 10 Top 40 contestant. Singer/Song Writer. Octavia Latrice @sincerlioctavia Member of Jill Scott's (The A Group)! Music, Fashion, Make-Up, Entrepreneurship, True Love, True friends, and family ....#thingsimabout It's interesting that Keisha Renee removed the reference to her religious beliefs in her profile. I know because I didn't follow her immediately BECAUSE of it.... edited to clarify...but there is no way to write how I feel without being politically incorrect....gah!

Jamie - There's nothing wrong with ending a sentence w/preposition as long as it isn't unnecessary and this was def necessary. (And I think my optimistic vine has frost bite.)

Murly, isn't it's tail showing ownership. I thought all words showing ownership that ended in "s" were "'s". The man's tail, the apple's worm, the dog's tail. That's why it's confusing to a lot of people. We expect an apostrophe when we use a possessive. But the examples you gave are possessive nouns. Possessive pronouns don't have apostrophes. You have to think of "its" as being in the same category as "his," "her," "your," etc. His suit, her hair, your post. The word "its," with no apostrophe, is the possessive pronoun. Its tail. The word "it's" with an apostrophe is a contraction for "it is," and the apostrophe fills in for the missing "i" in "is." It's a nice day. I thought I knew it all.
Thank you Murly. One is never too old to learn something new. I did not know that about the possessive "it." Thank you for the info. This is a great place to learn.
