For those who haven't seen this, it's a perfect example of the difference in overall energy of Adam's number as compared to everyone else. In the room, there was no comparison, and I think it translates on vid. This guy from Neon Trees is really good. He's working his ass off and I love the song, but he's kind of all alone out there and can't quite drum up the overdrive. Still, as awards show performances go, it is very good. But then Adam came out and launched right into the song and it was BAM!! The energy was enormous. As I tweeted right after, like 10x that of the others. LOL! Susie and I are in this video! ;D WHERE? Point yourselves out for us, please?

My guess on new single -- I think they have selected it and will announce it early this week -- probably on Tuesday -- timed to be after the holidays are over. How will it be announced? By Adam on Twitter probably at 3:00AM EST right after I go to sleep. How would I like Adam to announce it? With world "premiers" of Adam Lambert's HOT NEW TRACK on Elvis Duran's and Ryan Seacrest's Programs Tuesday morning. Followed-up immediately with massive airplay on every Top 40 and HAC station everywhere. >> A GIRL CAN DREAM - I CHOOSE TO DREAM BIG << Regarding Queen -- it really does appear that something is underway for a new UK concert date. It could be very hard to put together this concert with the Olympics this summer and with less than overwhelming ticket sales for the first go at a UK concert, but if they do put it together, I think they will announce it and start promoting ticket sales immediately. I really doubt that it will be coordinated in any way with Adam's single announcement. The promoters and QUEEN will control the PR on this. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING WITH NEW SINGLE RELEASE DATES AND ALSO CAME UP WITH TUESDAY THE 10TH SO WE WILL SEE!

adam lambert bowie manchesterUploaded by intimations on Sep 16, 2009 WOW! Hadn't watched an AI tour video in a long time. I thought, as I clicked on the video, that it might seem a tad lower quality (it's been almost three years), been there, done that. We all talk about how much he has grown. But no--those performances are still fresh and fabulous. I swear he looks like a trained dancer, especially when he plays with the hat. The moves look choreographed from some musical. ...jumping over 4 pages... but I MUST say this: I always wonder what people see when they talk about "the growth"...honestly - I see THE SAME MASTER at work now as I saw three years ago: the master of the VOICE, the master of the PERFORMANCE, the master of the CONNECTION WITH THE AUDIENCE, the master of MAXIMIZING RESOURCES AT HAND. I get the same chills watching this "old" AI tour video as I get watching the "new" NNN TP video. ..so, may be his song writing skills are developing, may be his business skills are developing - hard to know, but stage related skills - I see no difference - may be I just can't see that high ;D

I remember almost everything. More when it comes to Adam stuff. The last time I was in London my brother called me (in London ffs) to ask me his social security number. He thought it was easier to ask me instead of actually looking for it. People at the office ask me all the time about phone numbers instead of looking at their pc's to find them. They think it's easier since I'm going to tell them immediately. :-/ ;D You are amazing gelly.

I read somewhere that the less than overwhelming ticket sales is because they also have Olympics. So people prefers to save their money to buy tickets for Olympics than concerts. They can have concerts every year, but not Olympics. Can I still dreaming the Olympics performance for Adam & Queen?? I also heard a rumor that Saturday sales were stronger than the other days. Without any facts, I would not even go down a path that extrapolates a lack of demand from the obvious timing and logistical clusterfuck that was Sonisphere this year. I take the lack of news from QUEEN to be a really good sign that they are working on something but I am not planning on it -- rather I am hoping for it. --- Regarding Saturday ticket sales --- all we know is that there were VIP tickets and every level of package available for Saturday when they cancelled the event. (I called an upgraded 2 days before they cancelled and I could choose any package.) I do not think it is the Olympic but rather the high ticket and accommodation prices in the face of poor economic conditions in the UK. Festivals are being cancelled all over the world -- and many of the major EU festivals are not happening this year. This is from the Guardian.... News of the cancellation was first leaked on Queen's official website. " "It is with very heavy hearts and much regret that we announce the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth," a statement from the band said. Although the post was later removed, the dominoes were already falling: the Greek, Turkish, Italian and Swedish editions of Sonisphere announced their own bad news on Facebook, while the festival's art director said he was "gutted" by the turn of events.
Each of these regional festivals shared a similar farewell message, in their respective languages: "We are really sorry to tell you that there will be no Sonisphere festival in [country] this year," they wrote. "The combination of touring problems, a weak economy and some bad luck has meant we haven't been able to pull together a festival ... Thank you for your support, and we will do everything we can to be back soon."
Sonisphere isn't the first festival to fall victim to 2012's harsh economic climate. Over the past week alone, events have been called off from Tokyo to Orlando. Neither Oxegen nor the Big Chill will take place in 2012, and Glastonbury is having a fallow year.
