Keep trying to make this make sense. So, in essence, if a non-fan happens to catch one of the two airings of the NNN awards tonight, loves the performance, hell even LIKES the performance and therefore goes to iTunes to buy the song...nope, sorry. Nothing to see here. Oh, and even the album of the same name won't be out for a month. It's Marketing 101, you don't advertise what you're not selling. Sorry, but RCA needs to stop having meetings and make a decision. Gawd. Reminds me of why I left corporate life. The only song available right now is Better Than I Know Myself. That song is totally the wrong vibe for the crazy off the wall NNN Awards. Trespassing is the perfect vibe. Frankly, the audience size of the show on the LOGO channel is not big enough to warrant them rushing things on the single choice or moving around other more important pieces of promo. What the show is excellent for is creating buzz and reminding people about Adam in this 2 month runup to his album launch.

Today is ... for some of us. When Lyndsey Parker asked Adam about NCOE, and he said he wasn't sure it would fit or make the album... and now it's likely be the next single...ummmm... sure make you wonder what's going on behind closed door between Adam & RCA! I think getting Dr Luke onboard in order to execute the vision Adam had for the production of that song was the key factor. Some people here may not like Dr Luke's work, but Adam himself has said he loves it. So with the pre Dr Luke version both Adam and RCA were on the fence, but with the updated production from Dr Luke both Adam and RCA believe it's single-worthy. Simple.

www.thefablife.com/2012-04-09/glambert-newnownext-awards-red-carpet-fashio/Adam is also performing at tonights awards show, airing on Logo at 10pm/ET, so were sure he knows we love him for more than just his fashions. In fact, when Vh1 News reporter Kate S*&@^#r joked that Glambert was practically the Mitt Romney of the NewNowNext red carpet, Adam just laughed. I look like I came off a politician trail!, he agreed. We cant be the only people who would immediately vote for a President Glambert, right?I don't follow politics, so I don't understand this comment, that Adam was pratically the Mitt Romney of the NNN red carpet? Isn't Romney I think they're just saying that Adam was dressed conservatively compared to others at the show.

I don't know what I think about NCOE as a second single. I love the song. I love them all, uncritically. He can sell me anything. But what I think is pretty much irrelevant to anyone but myself. What does matter is that Adam Lambert loves all the songs on Trespassing. That he worked his ass off. That he chose these songs out of 40-50 as THE BEST. It's normal that RCA chooses the singles, and I don't think Adam really cares THAT much which one is going to be the next because he's 100% behind every one of them. I'm so fickle. Whatever he serves me at the moment, I'll eat with gusto and ask for more. Now it's Trespassing. I'm sure that he knows exactly what to do with NCOE. How big of an influence can a single choice/ the order of singles have on the eventual success of an album or the single itself? ETA There's definitely something not normal about the way NCOE was released as a single ( if that was what happened). I'm not suggesting that anyone (RCA, this Larry guy) has screwed Adam over, but wtf? From what I understand, Larry Flick often previews hot new tracks on his show, this is not anything new for him. With his Sirius connections, he often has them before anyone else. Since Sirius is a subscriber only service, and Larry's channel is only a small niche on it, Larry giving his listeners a sneak preview will have absolutely no detrimental effect on RCA's rollout of the single. And ultimately, the "announcement" of the single is meaningless, the only thing that has any meaning is whether radio will play it. And from reports Larry called it a hit, so I don't see how that's anything but a positive for Adam. God I'm sure I'm being annoying with 3 posts in a row, but I'm absolutely mystified by the doom spiral I've just waded through in this thread. This is all fantastic news today!

idolator dot com @idolator .@adamlambert will perform 4 dates with Queen this summer! #DoesDanceOfJoy ow.ly/aazczAdam Lambert To Take Part In Four Concerts With Queen This SummerRobbie Daw April 9th, 2012 All is not lost for fans who had hoped to catch a joint performance by Adam Lambert and Queen this summer. Following the cancellation of Knebworth, England’s Sonisphere date, where the two acts were to take the stage together, there is still a stop for the fest in Moscow on June 30th. Additionally, Queen and the Trespassing crooner will play a show in Kiev that includes Elton John as part of the lineup. They also have two scheduled gigs at London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo. “Adam… of course he has this unbelievable range, like Freddie (Mercury) had range,” Queen’s Roger Taylor told Billboard. “Adam can really cover it. He’s an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality.”

A single can be a HUGE influence on the eventual success of an album and on the support that the next single will receive from the label and the radio stations! IF Larry did play the actual single that was sent out to radio stations, that was not the Official release of NCOE. Sometimes DJs jump the gun. The same type thing has happened with Kelly's singles a couple of times over the years. IF NCOE is the single, it will probably have its debut on a radio station that RCA selected.
