Adam Lambert to Perform With Queen on Select Datesby: Jessica Sager 36 minutes ago popcrush.com/adam-lambert-to-perform-with-queen-on-select-dates/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterIt seems that every other day Adam Lambert is or isn’t scheduled to perform with Queen. Make up your minds, guys! After their Sonisphere Festival gig was cancelled, it’s been announced that Lambert will, in fact, join the legends for select shows. Billboard reports that Lambert and the ‘We Are the Champions’ rockers will hit the road together for their June 30 show in Moscow, another performance with Elton John and two July dates at the Hammersmith Apollo. The Apollo dates were described as “some alternative… for some of the people who had bought tickets” to the Sonisphere Festival. more

After watching that show I was struck by how MASCULINE and STRONG Adam is in his glorious fierceness.... he made all the other performers-- male and female-- look cute and pleasant. And I'm not saying this as a slam to the feminine... not at all. But Adam reeks ALPHA. I love that he embodies every aspect of sexuality and gender. He is the perfect package. Ahhh...I've tried to say the same thing before but I get myself in trouble because I guess I word it wrong. But damn - he is hot as hell and soooooo big and hunky. He fills the stage with ALPHA MALE and I don't care if it isn't PC. It's the truth. Sorry to hear you get in trouble. I think the collective is going through a stage where the PC folks are not so enamoured by alpha vibes, but they should get beyond FFS. I see Adam as incredibly fluid. He taps into and channels all kinds of energy, across the spectrum from focused masculine to fierce feminine. And to me thats way more exciting than someone who exudes by habit and nature, just alpha or just beta.\ But really hard to find. When I see Adam i wanna sing you are the original of a new species! And when Adam goes alpha i think he out does a lot of men. You know sometimes you get a hater accusing Adam of being girly at some moment or other, but these men are so fucking unfocused and not using their masculinity well - its a joke. And underneath that artistic fluidity I sense a very love-based human being. So yeah, I love him. :D

I think from the male perspective a man has to be sure of himself not to feel threatened by Adam. That's why so many guys (even gay ones) put him down. Think about it. There aren't a lot of ALPHA MALE singers at the moment. Besides Adam...no one else comes to mind. Gavin DeGraw and Jason Mraz get a lot of radio play, but I find them schleppy and unappealing. However, I'm sure the fact that other men don't feel threatened by them helps them sell their music on iTunes. Chris Brown gives off "danger rays", but that is thuggish, not ALPHA MALE. Levine, the other Adam, just seems to be overcompensating for his shortcomings. Exactly. In fact, I used to love Chris Brown until he showed his true brutish colors. And I am not a fan of the schmoopy, schleppy sound-- too cloying for my taste. Adam just pings my senses... what he has transcends the gay or straight-jackets we tend to wrap performers in. As Adam himself once said, "Sexy is sexy." And his kind of charismatic, overwhelming presence (both in person and on stage) can't be learned. It is a light that shines from within. Adam just happens to have THE VOICE to go along with all of his gifts. He must have the best karma in the universe.

One of the reasons I was hoping for either Cuckoo or Trespassing for next single (as the radio handicappers on Twiitter wrung their hands and insisted we needed a "safe, radio single" - whatever that is), my instincts kept coming back to Idol and performances like THIS ONE!!!
I believe largely that Adam needs to get up in people's faces in order to break through whatever prejudices or defenses they have going on. He needs to demand their attention and blow them away. And he can do that easily. This is one of his greatest strengths and it's what will build his fan base the fastest, I think. Trying to slip in without upsetting anyone s counter-intuitive to who he is as an artist and when people insist he needs the "safe" option I kind of cringe.
Awww, he's tweeting!!!

Awww (i learned my aww from Adam by the way - dork smiley needed here), the last thing u said struck me a lot. My sense of him is: very powerful soul - you can even see it in his eyes as a kid. in the past i get the sense souls like him didnt go for the mass Dr Luke show biz environment, but this soul seems to want to - guess up in heaven he delighted in the power of itunes!!!
