shoshanna stone @shoshannastone RT @michaelahann: Adam Lambert charmingly put up with some fairly imbecilic questions from me. But he refused to be drawn on Brian May's fashion sense. shoshanna I don't watch what/who she tweets about, but she sure does tweet a lot about Adam. I should send her a fruit basket or something.

I follow her and she tweets about her clients. Very rare to see a personal tweet. Adam , Usher and Britney mostly and in that order.

lifetraveler, all true but in the realm of radio PDs, add date means nothing! Adam had 20 adds before his adds date. As long as it is out there, for them to play, (and they like it)they can add it as soon as they want. And I think the KISS Boston, Q102, WKTU, and whatever that Springfiled station is adds will come right away. A few weeks of radio play, then the adds date, then the for sale date works. As long as it all starts happening next week. On the other hand, FYE the album came out with basically no single presence. WWFM play and sales didn't pick up until January 2010. << Not the optimal way to do things though! I just hope RCA doesn't want to premiere the single on Idol. That, IMO, would be a mistake. I am hoping that those Spring radio concerts will force RCA to do something soon. Yes, I agree with you, the add date does not mean much, but it IS a marker, and that means something. The majority of radio will not add before the add date, even if some stations will (unless you are Bieber it seems heh) The other thing is: BTIKM did have 20 adds before the add date, but that was across a couple of weeks, wasn't it, not all in one week? My point being that Adam's songs have always taken a while to grow at radio. Even without looking at the add date, one of Adam's songs will not fly up the charts in one month. It needs time to build, so that there is actually some play when the album drops, enough to make an impact on sales. Eh, I'm depressing myself, I'm gonna stop now. It's just frustrating, but there's nothing you or I can do about it, so that's that. I'm stopping bitching now.

What a wonderful, informative and comprehensive thread today. Thank you. If you didn't cover pretty much everything that's going through Adam's and RCA's mind, well, I'll be damned.
Cuckoo, NCOE, TP should all do great as singles. If not, I'll start believing in conspiracy/ homophobic/ Murphy's law/ retrograde moons/ basically cray theories. j/k
I used to be all zen about the next single, UNTIL I read here ( sorry for not remembering the poster)
1. If Adam doesn't have smash hits the second era time, he won't get much promo and appearances for the third era
2. That it's a million dollar decision for RCA
SCARY!!!! To say the least. Suddenly, this whole debate didn't seem SERIOUS AND DEEP enough, lol. So, please, do continue.
Btw, I'm a firm believer that the Queen thing will do magic for establishing Adam as a household name. He is a little hard to swallow, bless him:))) While we devour him, others choke on him. He's best suited for delicate and discerning palates, other more... generic need a little water to push him down.

i'm only talking about his response to this specific question.. Thats why I was kind of wondering about his personality.. because of prior interviews and this one. The questions could be leading, but then why comment about something he doesn't have info on. He could have been diplomatic about it. *shrug* I'm not feel protective of Adam at all in this situation, I'm just curious about what he is like as a person. No biggie. Wondering if anyone knows anything about him since he had never been on my radar. I can't help myself, I always jump in here when Paul Rodgers is mentioned because he is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. I have been a fan of his since the early seventies but don't have a real strong sense of his personality, I think he tends to be fairly private. I've seen a few interviews of his over the years. He is certainly not as warm and charming as Adam but hasn't seemed like a jerk to me either. Actually I am relieved his answer about Adam really wasn't that negative. I was concerned he might be defensive since there have been a lot of comments regarding how much better suited Adam is for Queen than he was. If he has seen those comments, they might be hurtful to him even though it's true that he has a very different style of singing. He's got a wonderful but very bluesy hard-rock style, completely different than Freddie. The comment he made just sounded like he doesn't know much about Adam, but didn't seem mean-spirited to me.

I honestly, don't think there isn't anything, Adam CAN'T do The boy can't "stage banter" "This next song, ladies and gentlemen...." and repeat again and again....hehe (sorry...I say this endearingly ) LOL - in spite of Adam's very high verbal IQ, I have to admit you're right!
