I just did that AfterElton quiz -- and I got one wrong because I typed "Black and White" vs. the correct title of "Black or White". I am not sure if I should be happy that I know a lot about Adam or sad that I do not know much about Michael Jackson. ??? " Ha ha, Q3. I did the exact same thing. I couldn't believe I had missed one--but then saw it was Black OR White. Great minds... ;D |

That's the only one I got wrong! The "What's Up" question was the hardest on that quiz --- I think. ETA: DITTO to the cat photo right above me!! :::: Memo to self -- collect some clever and pithy cat photos ::::: Hey Girlfriend!!!!! I was extremely interested in susiefierce's argument (that mys*&@^#r mentioned again) that Adam needs a song that's typically him, and branding him to the world. I think it's an absolutely valid argument. But, I can't help but wonder, who says NCOE is not "typically Adam"? Just because it is not written by him? Stronger was not written by Kelly Clarkson and yet I think it is typically Kelly in every way - female empowerment anthem, with great vocals. Similarly, I think there's a strong argument that NCOE can be typical Adam: this is a song that has great vocals, which are a trademark of Adam. I can see NCOE be nominated for a Grammy in best vocal. I don't see Cuckoo do that. NCOE is also a fun lets-party-all-night song, with a message similar to the IIHY's video. I just feel like sometimes we, as fans, are biased by the fact that Adam did not write this. Even if he did not write it, he clearly chose it for the album (since he executive produced it), so he must strongly identify with the message and sound. I have to object about NCOE. Even though Adam can sing a telephone book as per out freind Randy but what about quility of music? I do not want to hurt anybody's feelings but to me it is so generic!!! And there is no objection about somebody can right good song for Adam to perform but unfortunately and I am expressing my own opinion, NCOI is lacking of a great musical quality. Plus who said that Trespassing can not be a huge radio hit?! It has all quilites to be that one or I do not understand what great music is any more. |

Wow, I don't see Trespassing as a gay liberation theme. I mean, "yes" it can be and that may be the way Adam intended it. But I see it as anyone who is tyring to break into someplace they are not wanted: any minority, gay, women, blacks, over weight people, a male in Pop, a white male in pop, anything really!
