You know to me Sauli looked both protective and receptive/soft at the NNN. He and Adam seemed to be connected in a deeper way - i think ive been seeing that since the Finland fight.
Just my impressions, not sure if they are so.

Two things --
Did Adam pick RCA to manage this album release? I know there was some kind of change just can't remember how it went.
Didn't Adam say that they recorded something like 50 songs for this second album and of the 50 they pared it down to 16. Does it make sense that of the 16 or so album choices that there are any now that he is not proud of and wouldn't want released? He is the executive producer, right?

I don't know, I'm still on the "Adam needs a radio hit" train. A hit song on CHR will give the album legs and, at the very least, will result in a lot of single sales. Money is what will allow Adam to release more singles this era. And radio hits lead to opportunities---he won't be invited to the big radio concerts if he has no radio hits. He also won't get the big mainstream awards shows if he doesn't have hits.
I agree that Adam's live performances are powerful. And I LOVED Trespassing last night. But, radio doesn't care about a great live performance, unless the performance results in something huge and undeniable happening on iTunes. I have said before, in a perfect world Trespassing would be the next single. But, as we all know, it is not that easy. And, quite frankly, I think radio just doesn't want to play someone off AI (or any reality show) and throws out any excuse to sink a song. There are different rules for Adam (and Kris, and Cook, etc.)
Adam has to make money for the label if he is to continue. Sure, he could be a niche artist and be successful, but I think he wants more. And I think his next single has to hit or it might very well be the last label-supported single of this era. That's a lot of pressure on Adam and his team at RCA. Basically, a hit single (while not a guarantee of radio acceptance or massive album sales) will at least allow Adam to continue. A hit single will insure that he has more chances and more opportunites.
eta---Adam and his team have just spent an enormous amount of time and energy on an 18 city radio tour. I am sure they now have a very good idea of what these stations will play, and they are making the single decsion based on what they have learned.
