I took the whole dress up thing as fun and a chance to step off my usual dime. To me, going to Adam's concert was a huge event and a chance to get up some real fun. Especially since I usually never dress up, I just wear t-shirts and jeans and no makeup. Since it was 900 degrees outside and a GA show, I couldn't go over the top much, but I did wear an Adam tank top, some cool jewelry that I found that was much bolder than my usual statement, and I sprayed my hair with glitter. It was fun. To me it was a way to mark the occasion as special. I feel the same about the upcoming shows. I don't think we need to copy Adam or his band or center around a theme. At the same time, I wouldn't just go off to my Adam concert wearing the same polo shirt and khakis that I might have on for work. I would want to be "me+" I guess. Me with a little extra. Me not hiding or trying to blend in with my peers, but trying to "walk that walk like I don't give a fuck" for once. My two cents. Can't wait until I actually have the chance!
