[grins] I'm certain some of the Adam/Sauli fic is EXTREMELY hot.However, realize that because of the reality blur line (and particularly since a number of peeps here have prior issues with a few Twitter fanatics who have consistently insisted that fantasy relationships with band members like Tommy are real), some ATOP members are uneasy with Adam fanfic. Indeed. ;D I don't like to read fanfiction about A&S because it's just someone else's hopes and dreams about how they are together... I don't like that. I write fanfiction too... not rpf though... but now I've been tempted... You know... There's NO T/S fanfiction around... at least I haven't found any... yet.   [sniggers]. None of Adam's *general release* songs fit this meme. If people want to vote for a song like Aftermath...well, ok. A remix was released for the Trevor project. But, typically an album track won't resonate with a wide swath because it hasn't been heard and/or doesn't have an associated vid . [shrugs] I'm at peace if Adam doesn't win this one.  I think the Kris song may actually help some of his fans who may be intolerant of gays,remember the voting on Idol,become more accepting of others. Just a thought. Q3 comment: If your comment only involves Kris Allen and does not include Adam Lambert --- please do not post it. I like Kris and I was surprised when I saw a lot of people who usually don't like him say they liked VOL. I really don't like the song at all (and I was prepared to like it) but I didn't comment on it because I don't think his success/failure has anything to do with Adam. Anyway, trying to tack an anti-bullying message on top of the song strikes me as..idk pandering?? I will go back and listen again but if I didn't know it was being promoted as such I would never have pegged it as anti-bullying. The discussion of KA has been closed as being off topic. Feel free to go to his website and discuss whatever, but, please keep ATop focused on Adam. |

Because I think when you promote a song as anti-bullying you have to follow the same rules in your rl (at least show support) and he's far from that. He's only promoting it in such a way only to advertise this song , pure hypocrisy, and that makes me have a lot of ~feelings. When up to now you are asked about these things and your responses are obscure references you can't all of a sudden change and promote an anti bullying song. I have more things to say about it , many more , and in reference to Adam and other stuff but I won't. I shouldn't have posted in the first place. I should have stayed on twitter about it. interviewer: "Why anti-bullying as a theme?"
kris: "It was almost an accident. It's big right now and it kinda fits so we thought why not?"That quote is almost verbatim by the way. To me Beautiful is the most sincere anti-bullying song, and also Demi Lovato's Skyscraper. I do think Aftermath has a very sincere message too but it is more in the It Gets Better vein.
