LMAO I need to apologize to the good Dr. as well because I didn't refrain from having some choice words for him yesterday ;D. He did good! I 'm really happy with the production of this song. tsk.tsk.tsk. There would be no need to apologize if peeps didn't make snap judgements and post "nasty" rants before hearing the finished product. ETA-I love Cher's "Believe." 8-) nasty rant? lol but okay duly chastised

I want to change my earlier post, the one I made after listening to the full NCOE once (I should know better!). I have been listening to the song non-stop for a LOOOONG time now and I really like it. At first I was distracted by the frantic beat, but now that I have gotten used to it, I hear only ADAM and I am loving it. Just for those who don't listen to a lot of Top 40, frantic beat + soaring slower vocals is very common right now. I don't have time to dig up a lot of examples right now, but here's Rihanna's newest single coming down the pike (and IMO the best song from her latest album) -- faster paced, but some parallels :

Slightly OT but perhaps timely article that may be of interest to many here: How to Comment chronicle.com/blogs/innovations/how-to-comment/32183Quote: Because commenting is often anonymous or pseudonymous, practitioners can be freed from many social rules as well as many of their own inhibitions. We all know the results. Boorishness. Bombast. Preening. On some sites, commenting becomes competitive snarling. Sometimes the dynamic in a comment thread consists of people reinforcing one another’s edgier opinions and pushing the discussion towards an extremity that most of the individual participants wouldn’t have reached on their own. Other threads consist of vitriolic exchanges between battled-hardened champions of opposing views.Includes some good rules of thumb for good behavior as well; mostly "Golden Rule" stuff but it never hurts, huh?

Neon Limelight @neonlimelight New Music: Adam Lambert Debuts Full Album Version Of “Never Close Our Eyes” bit.ly/IsCRjCYou’ve seen the fierce single cover. You’ve been teased mercilessly with the snippets, and even the live acoustic version. But, finally, Adam Lambert has debuted the full album version of his new single, “Never Close Our Eyes.” The pulsating dance beat is provided by in-demand hit-making producer Dr. Luke. Grammy winning singer/songwriter Bruno Mars penned the song’s honest lyrics, and Adam makes them all soar with his impeccable vocals. “I wish that this night would never be over/There’s plenty of time to sleep when we die/Let’s just stay awake until we grow older/If I had my way we’d never close our eyes, our eyes. Never,” Adam sings on the chorus. more... Links to soundcloud

Don't have time to read the thread--sorry--but SQUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!! THIS SOUNDS SOOO GREAT!!! take back all the nasty things I nobly (mostly) refrained from saying about you Dr. Luke. You didn't drown our boy out AT ALL. He sound so fab! And I looooove some of the little details in the production--too many to mention them all right now--but for example the hard hitting electro beat that's then cut by some almost folksy strummy guitar at moments. Oooh and the full-on rock wail at the end! LOVE IT. Yay Adam. Now SOAR SINGLE SOAR, m'kay??!!!!! LMAO I need to apologize to the good Dr. as well because I didn't refrain from having some choice words for him yesterday ;D. He did good! I 'm really happy with the production of this song. I completely understand! I've always loved NCOE, but Dr. Luke has not been my favorite producer for Adam. I had my doubts, as well!
