Adam always struck me as a man who combined very powerful presence (an exceptional thing) with a love for everyone.
Its so rare to find that combination - and so inspiring and gorgeous.
In a way a song like this is metaphor for that fusion.
Its all summer dance hit for the masses and yet it has his highly masterful and exceptionally powerful vocals in it.

I'm so happy that everyone is excited about the new NCOE single. I hope it is the giant hit that everyone is predicting. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I've listened to it, I just can't warm up to it. It's just not my cuppa. I'll just sit back and patiently wait for 5/15 because I know my favorites are coming. In the mean time, I will continue to enjoy all the flailing and praise that it being heaped on Adam right now. And, just because NCOE isn't one of my favorites, it won't keep me from shaking my ass to it when he performs it at KTUphoria and Q102 Springleball next month. It's ok--took me a while to take to it too. The great thing about Adam is that even if you don't like the song, he always sounds great! May 15 is coming soon! By the way, your avi is eye-catchingly beautiful even on a page of Adam pics! , I agree that Adam sounds fabulous on this song. It's just the song I don't care for. I've been listening to all the different versions of it in hopes that it would grow on me but it just hasn't. I've had the new one on all day on loop but it just isn't happening for me. Sigh! I'm glad you like my avi. He's such a cutie! |

I remember when ATop had people list 3 words to describe Adam and someone said they had to use dichotomies when describing Adam. I've thought a lot about that and realized that, really, Adam is nothing but dichotomies--and now, I realized, so is this song. Raw but tender, up-tempo but ballad-like, dance and cry inspiring, a rock-edge but pop, a stand-out but a fit-in. IDK--I'm not good with words but this man is a brilliant!

I've thought a lot about that and realized that, really, Adam is nothing but dichotomies--and now, I realized, so is this song. OT, but hoping to get some advice from this great group. I use Real Player (free version). It's easy to download and trim clips and add them to playlists or burn cd/dvds. I also use the VLC player. The quality of playback on VLC seems much better than Real, but can't use it to edit or burn. My question: Is there another program that does what Real Player does, but giving better quality reproduction? There is a better Real Player with more features. Does anyone have it - is the quality better? Thanks for any tips. A little thank you for your timel...  |

I just bought my copy of NCOE!$1.69 for song; 1 minute to put on iPhone; Oz iTunes screw up - priceless. And we have to wait till Tuesday ??? ???.. but Happy for You!!! How is it? Does it sounds like the full version on soundcloud at all? or better? |

Finally got to the end of this thread. So much WIN today!!! My heart is so full it almost hurts. Is this really happening? Has the time finally come for Adam to step up to claim his rightful place among the chosen ones in pop music? I want 2012 to be THE YEAR that the world woke up to his awesomeness!!! NCOE is sheer perfection for me. I love the pretty, I love the gritty, so lush and edgy at the same time. I assume Adam does all the vocal layering and I recognize his voice later in the song but I think I hear a voice singing an octave lower after the first 2 lines ("so let's just stay awake until we grow older..."). Do you guys hear it? It is very subtle and sounds like low baritone/bass? Not sure it's Adam. I LOVE the idea of a ravey, Burning Man, beach party, driving fast with the top down, celebration of young people all over the world theme for the video!   |
