Well, guys, I won't be able to watch tv until late tonight, long after most of you have gone to bed. I just want to say-- we are so lucky to be stans of Adam fucking Lambert.

Friends just left and just saw the performance.
I loved it
- his voice, his look and mostly the emotion in his performance - spot on and as good as I expected it was going to be (actually, he looked soooooo good so even better). Just downloaded and am jammin while I post!! I hope The Trevor project gets lots of funds from these sales!!
I love being an Adam stan - so much goodness!

Okay. I'm the one that was talking about the AMA's and how I read everyone's trainwreck comments. That was for the AMA's sorry I wasn't clear (a couple of people caught it). I didn't realize I didn't have a key for work tonight (boring story) so I had to leave all of a sudden with the last person. Didn't mean to drop a bomb and exit. :-/ I just got home and caught up. I think if you put yourself in the position of us west coasters that are waiting to watch (no stream - visual or sound) the comments were sounding pretty negative. Bad notes, raspy voice, bad sound, back up band not adding anything, a stoic Stephen Tyler and JLo, a husband and a son walking through and dissing the song etc. I didn't think "train wreck" but just maybe that he didn't gain any new fans especially since it didn't sound like he made it clear that this is a song for charity and he's not releasing it as a single from his album. The more recent pages....much more positive. I feel better. Sorry to seem fatalistic. I'm better now. I'm having a glass of wine and waiting to watch GNAFL. ILHSFM : I'm on the West Coast and didn't hear a single one of those comments. Then again, I watched the stream, but I follow 700 people and not a one was saying that. (Well, one person said, "Does he have a cold?") I ignored her. I heard flawless, beautiful, amazing, breathtaking. I saw a tweet from Billboard.com right afterwards saying it was tender yet charismatic. |

ITA!!!!!!! It was brilliant!!!! Sooooooo proud of him! Just got home from work. Watched the stream from there before leaving and DO I EVEN WANT TO KNOW WHAT THIS IS ABOUT?? Do not MAKE me have to start conking heads together. I AGREE SPRING2009. If there is angst on pages further back, I want no part of it. Just start about 5 or 6 pages back and you'll be fine. Nothing to worry about. But I do miss halfie. |

Okay, I've just re-watched a zillion times and I've changed my mind, AGAIN. It wasn't rushed....it was gorgeous!! I don't even hear any flat notes....AND I love the raspiness!! OMG!! You all have my permission to never listen anything I say. Ever. *bows down to HER AMERICAN IDOL* Are we the luckiest fans in the world, or what? |
