Aftermath has always been *my song*. Just ask hoopla1, she'll tell you...lol!! I love every version of it!! Yep, even on FYE!! And, I always will. I'm one of the few that loved it from the beginning. The words just spoke to me. I am forever grateful that those 4 wrote this wonderful song. It will be in my heart forever!!! I can attest to that, glittergma. I remember us saying that we loved it in PF chat. Lyrics got me from the start. So glad to see it getting its due. I'm also happy the song has been tweaked to better show it off. 'Cuz there are valid points to idea that the original is a little 'gilded.' The variations will draw more people in - I'm all for it. I love it in all its striations. Win-win. Edited |

I beg to disagree, since I never watched before or after Adam and there are lots out there like me...I'm not alooooooone Sometimes commentary is the voice of reason, other times it is a wet blanket. JMO I don't think there is anyone here, well maybe a very few, who think Adam is bigger than Idol, but you know what, they keep asking him back and when he shows up so do lots of screamers and viewers. Again, win for everyone, and Adam looked beautiful, brought the boys along - yea!!!- and showed everyone else why we love him. That smile alone is worth 1,000 Twitter followers ! He has the most open, welcoming personality of anyone I have ever seen, and the "clean look" as Paula called it, may have some more comfortable. I'd like to say, "Screw 'em if they don't like the glitter," but it is so cool that Adam is BOTH of these personas, neither being a suck-up fake, just a different side. Blah, blah, blah. I'm here alone with no one to flail to, so you all have to take the brunt of that. I have to agree with you, and actually was thinking along the same lines about his *clean look*. While I do love every side of Adam, I think he's very smart in giving this look to the AI audience. The dude is no dummy...lol!!! He knows that some don't care for the OTT look. He wants them to *hear* his message. He knows what he needs to do, and he does it!!! Adam is a very smart business man. We all know that. He just took the Idol stage and showed everyone how very talented he is. Very little make-up, simple (but awesome) clothes, and singing that will knock your socks off!!! It's all about the voice, of course. But, the pure beauty that is Adam Lambert was shining through. He is my hero...... |

He was GORGEOUS! The perf was subdued, introspective, heartfelt and lovely. He shone in a very subtle way and let the song be what it should have been on this occasion. THIS. |

Granddaughter in bed now so I just caught up with thread. The best part of tonight, my daughter has a much nicer tv & surround sound system then Mom & Dad do. OMG..........Adam was perfection!!!! I l totally loved this version, loved that the entire band was with him. They all sounded and looked perfect, I liked this better than with guitar only. Adam, I watched youTube too, I am so not a professional critic, but, from this lay person he hit a home run. I am guessing the AI audience will think so also, such a grand night. So thrilled for Adam!!!!! So thrilled for his fans, we have the best idol EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad to be among right thinking people.  And just want to note that after one has enjoyed Adam's perf (voice, beauty, awesome expressions) many times, one should take time out to appreciate the small but important details. I mean, check out the amazing that is Tommy's hair  I don't even know exactly what's going on there - art maybe, but I think whoever was on hair duty tonight (also for Adam's lovely simple but not pomp. look too) deserves big credit. (And Sophie must be proud of how tidy and cute Isaac looked as well.) Band looove. :-*Back at ya!!!!! Heck yes, I am standing right beside you on EVERYTHING you just said. They ALL were spot on for me. Thrilled from the top of my (newly summer streaked hair) to the tips of my orange (for the spring/summer look :D) toes!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have pictured a better sound or look. Only draw back for tonight, NO MOJITO to celebrate. :-/ Tickled pink you are still here |

My favourite song from his first CD (I love saying that 'first'!) in any version - even the remix!! The first of his remixes I've actually been wanting to listen to more than once (I bought them all, of course - just don't listen!) and re "beautiful" - I completely lost the singing watching him live - apparently, I can't look at him and still hear! Had to go back and listen again... Yayyyyyyyy to another Aftermath lover from the beginning!!! And, I have to admit that I was lost in the beauty, too!! LOL!! But, I was sure that I heard him clearly and did not hear any shaky or off kilter notes. It is hard to look at such a beautiful man and still hear what he is singing...lmao!! I know, I'm 12 and lovin' every minute of it!! ILHSFM!!!!! (and, I've listened at least 15 more times) I'm in my *happy place*. TY Adam!!!!! |
