Alikat1323 Ali K. LOVE this shot :-) i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu343/t… 3 minutes ago You know how we are often in the wrong place at the wrong time and miss out on something? I can't tell you how many times I question what good fortune led me to find Adam in January 2009, learn who he was prior to that, and watch how it all came together to make him who is today. Look at him! So in his element wherever there are people to interact with. The world of psychology may have lost a shining star the day Eber allowed him to quit soccer and join the theater group. Their loss, our gain. I'm getting maudlin and I've not had anything to drink by Diet Dr. Pepper. Maybe I should just go to bed.

Thanx, mys*&@^#r for the re-cap of the parts we didn't see on TV. Interesting info about live vs. TV sound. I am done. Thanks so much myspenser!!! So glad you got to go! Surprised that you said there were only 30 Adam fans there, the whole place was screaming and he got a Standing O from audience from what we could see on TV. when you have time, could you talk about how he sounded live?

I'm hopelessly behind and will never catch up on the thread, since I had to stan and bert on the run tonight, and now I have to pack for a weekend trip. But I thought the performance was beautiful beautiful beautiful. Very real and heartfelt. Any flaws (and I'm willing to admit it wasn't perfect) only added to the beauty of it, IMO. It's like that lyric by Leonard Cohen... "There's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in." That performance was radiant with light. I love him! I agree, NoAngel. Just saw the show on TV and thought it was great! Natural and heartfelt and all WIN, perfect for the audience. The little changes, slight imperfections and more raspy tone here and there, just gave the lyrics a different flavor, but one that was equally delicious, and that some listeners, like my youngest son, probably like even better. And, he looked so stunningly beautiful that it was, even more than usual, for me, a feast for the eyes as well as for the ears. The smile that lit up Adam's face after his performance, okay, and my heart, too, LOL,was good enough by itself to make me buy whatever the man is selling. He somehow projects so much radiant joy and light in the middle of all that raw sexiness; he blows me away evertime I see him. This combination apparently sends me right down the proverbial rabbit hole, and my bet is that others will be pulled right in there with me by this accessible performance. WIN! WIN! WIN! My heart is full. ( but it still craves more, haha) Lynne, you put this so beautifully, thanks for expressing what I feel.

Wow. I'm blown away. My DH, who is really pretty tolerant of my obsession and VERY respectful of his voice, really liked the performance. He said at the beginning "Wow, it has a kind of Roy Orbitson vibe" I told him that folks mentioned it was a little raspy but he thought it suited the arrangement and that he did it on purpose. He also commented that he was amazed at the total control through the whole song. I loved it!! He made major points tonight. I thank everyone here for voicing the fears and concerns we all share. We are all just so invested in Adam and his success. I know that all comments here are made with love and caring. NO ONE WAS MEAN SPIRITED, IMHO. Us west coasters were lucky enough to experience all the doubt and angst early. We got through that and then everyone realized IT WAS GONNA BE ALRIGHT IN THE AFTERMATH, and so we could watch it on our Hi Def TV's (with surround sound) and so all we felt was La -ove, La-ove. Night all.

I don’t think it’s going to be as campy as the last album. I think it’s going to have more of a serious note.” Link: www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/2011/03/10/adam-lambert-says-new-album-is-less-campy-more-serious/

When I say 30 Adam fans, I mean the ones I know from So CA and concerts we've all been to together. The whole place was Adam fans! The audience loved him and there were more signs for Adam than for the contestants! I forgot to mention that after the show, we went over to The Grove to have dinner. As I was coming out of the restroom, near the center courtyard, there awas Ferras and Ely Rise walking right by me. I called to them and they stopped. They were very sweet. I asked if they had just been at Idol and they said yes. They were in the first row, while Adam sang. I asked how that felt and they said "Amazing." They both looked so, so happy. I told Ferras that I was fan of his and have been following him on twitter since before Adam.Told him what my favorite song was, of his, and asked about his next album. I told him I really love him (meaning his music.) And he said, "I love you too." How sweet is that?! Then we hugged and they left. Don't hate on Steven, guys. His interaction with Adam was very warm and nice.
