I hope it’s ok for me to interrupt the flow here. I have a RL Adam story! I took a friend to a Dr’s appointment this morning and while she’s with the Dr I’m bored in the waiting room. A big guy in his 70’s or thereabouts is across from me and we’re both staring at The View on TV. The View gals start to discuss last night’s Idol. Turns out this guy watches the show every week so we talked about the contestants. Finally he says “Adam Lambert is supposed to be on tonight.” I feel myself go immediately into defensive mode. I say “And?” expecting the I CAN’T STAND HIM HE SCREAMS! response. He says “He’s GREAT. He can sing anything! I can’t understand how he lost to that other guy!” My entire body relaxes, I smile broadly and tell him I’m a huge Adam Lambert fan. We talk about how fabulous he is and then guy says “I don’t know what he’s going to do tonight.” HaHa. He does now! This made my day (my night is already made!) and I just had to share. Goes to show the old adage you can’t judge a book by the cover is so true. I had already written this guy off as an Adam-hater just because: 1) He was a guy 2) He was old 3) He was big Thanks for letting me interrupt. Now I’ll go back and try to catch up. I too am still catching up today, am on page 12 but I had to tell you I'm happy for you, jazzrocks A wonderful story! We are all human and therefore prone to prejudice, but it's the best feeling in the world to be proven wrong, isn't it? To me, it's like the world suddenly becomes bigger and happier, and the heart becomes fuller:) Does everyone have links that they need? He was on Idol last year - were people also so nervous? He was great, no? Why suddenly the insecurity? Yeah, I don't get it either. When has he vocally screwed up a performance? I can only remember the AMA, that's been ages and he's surely much more comfortable on the Idol stage. Chill! 8-) Be kalm and kollected...(<-- Lambert spelling ;D) |

I haven't watched Idol since season 8 (except when AFL was on last year) and I don't intend to watch it again after tonight..for me Adam did break Idol and from what I read, it is slowly going downhill since 2009..looking forward to seeing X-factor..should be interesting see the ratings for tonight's show

@corylive At AI watching my boy @adamlambert SLAY his rehearsal 4 tonights results show. Gonna b FIYAH!!!(cory is the warm-up guy) OK, this makes me absurdly excited!!!    But I'm also thinking of acoustic Aftermath and trying to make a connection to "Gonna b FIYAH!!!!" LOL... I don't associate the sweetness and loveliness of acoustic Aftermath with FIYAH!!!! |

I need some hand holding.. all this anticipation for tonight.. the pressure..  Having dejavu of that other night and I am freaking a bit..someone either slap me.. or hold me..
