I think that particular vendor has a range of different products that allow some minor customization like monograms or engraving. Kind of like when you work for a corporation and order bulk gifts or promo items with your company name on them from a vendor. I think this is in line with where Adam's budget is for merch right now, since just like when corporations do it for gifts etc there is a minimum order that must be committed to and it's not small. The kind of beautiful customized merch we can all dream up in our heads would likely be cost prohibitive. However I have no explanation for the design of some of the tshirts, that defies all logic LOL. Besides, we are probably not the target audience for those particular merch items anyway, unless we wear them ironically. I think they're more for the Hot Topic crowd. It looks like the target audience is 7 year olds with skeeball tickets. |
