At first when I read the post I wondered how you knew that Paul McCartney was my first celebrity crush. Then, I saw the video and.... signing! How cool is that? Whoever translated the song into American Sign Language did a pretty good job of conveying the meaning accurately, but simply enough for two non-signers to memorize and perform it. Wonder if Adam would like to do something similar in a MV for a track on Trespassing? Maybe OOL? I would be happy to offer my interpretation services, free of charge, tho' I would insist on working closely with Adam to make sure I accurately interpreted every word and phrase and it was aesthetically and visually appealing. Then, it would also take time to teach him the signs, right? Yup, more than happy to help. tee hee. |

What struck me most when I was in his actual presence was that Adam has a very calm, gentle yet strong energy. It's really hard to put into words but I've only met a couple other people in my life who've had that same energy. One was my 70+ year-old sensei when I took Aikido classes years ago. This man was maybe 5'4" high, but he could bring you to the ground with a turn of his wrist and exuded calmness and quiet gentleness. Sorry for going all Northern-Cal-hippie, but Adam brings out that side of me  [ slowly backs away from NoAngel...] |

While I was in CA for a week (can truly say I mixed business with pleasure but more emphasis on the latter with NNN), DH had our AC system serviced. I've had no time to take down the banner from the Listening Party and I had his pictures all over the family room. The AC man asked DH, "That's the guy from American Idol. Is he related to you?" LOL! While in CA, spent the Easter weekend with my bro and family. His son is a musician (he is having a recital today for his masters degree in music) and I of course shared my passion for Adam with him and his soon-to-be-fiancee (later on this). I showed them some videos and their jaws dropped. V could not believe how effortless Adam could hit those notes. When I told him about the Queen concert, he was more impressed. My bro said that it was fitting because both Freddie and Adam are gay. V looked at him and said, "Dad, what's your point?" Yeah, V! I promised to send him more Adam stuff and he said he would love that. Yeah, maybe he and his crowd will be new fans and we need this demographic - males in their 20's and early 30's. Plus he also teaches music to HS and college students. Just need that one person to spread the music. V shared with me that he has written a special piece for today's recital for S and will be proposing to her in the middle of all of this. Awwww......told him I will need a video! Loved this story, mayumi! Actually, I srsly love all the little personal anecdotes and informal "scientific surveys" that people post about their friends and family hearing Adam snippets. Sadly, I often don't have time to reply to each post, but I READ EVERYTHING!! ;D |
