ETA: 274 now! No that was the pop chart and it had gone down 8 spots. I just checked again though and it is now #90 on pop and #248 overall so it just took a little longer to kick in. I was kind of surprised because Durbin's bump was immediate, I happened to check right after he performed and the song was already shooting up so I was a little worried for Kris that it didn't seem to take off right away. That is a good bump now because he was off the overall chart before the show. ETA: Looks like Kris has ended up with a decent bump. 2012/04/20 Pop 54. I would say that VOL got a decent % bump, but not breaking the Top 100 is bad, IMO. If JD can do that, then Kris certainly should. I would say his song is more the type the Idol audience would buy too. Oh, and in other i-Tunes news, Adam has 3 songs in the Top 1000! NCOE is hovering in the 60s and BTIKM and WWFM have both moved up. |

NCOE is hovering in the 60s and BTIKM and WWFM have both moved up. Scotty's song climbed to around 70 and Lauren's song made it into the top 100. TVOL's placement is a very bad sign. Despite Simon Fuller trying to generate interest with the staging, the song is very mediocre. The worst mistake was that awful attempt at Falsetto for a major part of the chorus. The first time I heard the song, I knew that the falsetto was jarring in the recorded version and would be a problem for Kris in the live version. At six weeks past release: TVOL is still only getting about 28-30 spins a day, all on HAC, and mostly overnight. That song is really struggling. |
