Ryan Seacrest says we’re back with the guy who "truly set the bar for style and spectacle on this stage. Tonight he’s showcasing his skills as a songwriter."
The camera moved to Adam and he looked perfect. PERFECT. I honestly do not remember him ever looking this great. Happy, comfortable, and centered.
Adam then performed a soft, rock-edged acoustic version of “Aftermath”.
Adam received a standing ovation after the performance. He also is getting praise from Idol critics. Brian Mansfield of the USAToday wrote, “Spectacle? No, but it's a lovely, mellow performance that highlights the song's message: Just remember you are not alone.”
Michael Slezak of TVLine.com reported: “So let’s get to the relevant information. Adam Lambert performed a gorgeous, stripped-down rendition of Aftermath.”
After the performance, Adam joined Ryan for a brief chat. Adam, "The message is the most important thing about that song. I wanted to strip it down tonight to give that the focus." Adam and Ryan also talked about what Adam calls the "dance club version" of the song, sales of which will benefit The Trevor Project.
This was a new Adam – the stripped down, singer-songwriter. And based on the comments I have read online, viewer got the message. And there was something else – his vocals were raspier, had more of a rock edge. Her e video of the entire segment:

Billboard: Former "Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert also took the stage tonight, showing a softer side with a stunning acoustic version of his most recent single, "Aftermath." EW.com -- Finally, Adam Lambert did an "unplugged" acoustic version of "Aftermath," which I rather enjoyed, especially in the context of his new, shapely hairstyle. His skin's looking good, too. What a good-looker, that Adam. So charitable. So serene. Like an obedient little web soldier, I did exactly what Adam told me to do and went to listen to the "Aftermath" dance remix at AdamOfficial.com and liked that one even better. Sorry, AdamAcoustic. The middle-aged gay man in me was begging for it! Now if only he could force me to work out...sort of like J. Lo forced Adam to join her in a private tutorial of the Dougie after the show. That move is so hot right now. I'm so jealous.

. Stayed awake to read the yesterdays's thread but there seems to be some +20 pages more of it now.... (and was waiting for puppy news too). I guess I better get to work now, there is some urgent stuff that needs attention. I guess though I'll need a pretty long coffee break :
and um... err.... what was I thinking? Hmm... Oh yeah. I've seen several posts about Steven Tyler telling Adam he liked his necklace. Do we know which necklace he's referring to? The shorter necklace looks like it has a picture on it. Do we know what that is?
