She is the DJ from Melbourne, Australia. A big Adam fan. katiemelb Katie Purvis The Aftermath remix by @adamlambert will be on rotation at Melbourne's @joy949 GLBT radio station from Monday (thanks to me)! YAYAYAYAY 17 hours ago Love this woman! Glad she got remix on their rotation. Can't wait for her next Adam JoyTheme party, too...one week from tonight, right? The first two were AWESOME! And, lifeguard, LOL to the explaining you have to do...for some reason, it made me think of MPython's "I'm a Lumberjack" routine!

LOL, I have like five new windows open with links I have to go back to read. I didn't want to scroll past, thinking I'd go back and find them, but I didn't want to ruin the continuity of the thread either, so my morning reading is lined up! Chunkeymonkey's recap, the CBS article and the last thing posted, I forget.
Tonight I went to see a Queen tribute band called One Night of Queen. It was an extremely fun show. I went with my brother in law (classic rock fan – The Who, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Bowie, are his all-time favorites) and my 19-y-o nephew, who has an appreciation for classic rock as well.
The lead, Gary Mullen, who played Freddy Mercury, was REALLY good. He didn't try to "imitate" as much as play homage. He wore the white pants and twink tank at first, but then went shirtless most of the show. His movements, humor, sexuality, flamboyance and stage presence were trademark Freddy. He moved great, his voice was very, very good, but what really sold it was his joy and energy.
I found myself studying the whole show about what makes a great frontman and concluded it is an amalgam of talent (of course), but also energy, playfulness, abandon, energy and sexuality (big time!). It is about seducing every person in that audience no matter what the age, gender, orientation – doesn't matter – it's about creating the world and getting everyone else to join you.
The crowd definitely skewed older. Though I saw some teens there I only saw one younger child and I swear, from eight rows back it could have been Adam from the E!THS vids. (Yes, I know I have a one-track mind.) But the kid was probably 8 or 10 and had a thick mane of l what looked like blond hair (it was dark, but you could see the tips).
During the whole last set he was in the aisle dancing and rocking out with total abandon – without the slightest bit of self-consciousness. But the thing was, he wasn't just flailing to the music, as kids often do, but he really seemed like he was feeling every bit of it. He was amazing to watch.
I really hope as he grows up he is able to keep that level of abandon without self-consciousness, because it really is an incredible gift and is at the core of what makes Adam such a fantastic entertainer.

I have Aftermath Acoustic and Aftermath Remix on repeat on my Itunes. The message comes across so clearly in both renditions. IMO, the two versions belong together. In my thinking, Aftermath acoustic is needed as you come to grips with the decisions around whatever you need to change. It is encouraging, uplifting, and inspirational. Aftermath Remix is the celebration. It's the song about how it feels to be on the other side of the Aftermath. It's the celebration of remembering all the angst about how things were going to go and now being on the other side you realize it's the best thing you could have done. Burden relieved, time to party, time for crying, time for continuing to look forward. I find that I can't post during Aftermath Remix. I just want to celebrate and dance. readon what a perfect explanation for both renditions of the song!!!!
