I get that, but wouldn't it make him look better to be more gracious? Very, very few people outside of the AI bubble have a clue how well or not well they are doing in terms of sales and they really don't care. That first single of NAL's was a huge hit, right? He just looks selfish and threatened when he responds to a tweet like Adam's without so much as an acknowledgment of what Adam has going on right now. Okay, now back to trying to LET IT GO. Really. It's all about good Karma.. Adam's will soar. He is a team player,and he loves singers and the music business. So sometimes he's a friend and sometimes Adam is just a fan.He loves to give kudos for a job well done. He's one class act,how can anyone not love Adam?As far as Kris he doesn't exist in my world.. Well, as we all know, and like he sings "my heart is gold"! And it truly is. I feel sure the autograph on the Walmart albums is copied, not originals. |

butterfly I am still scorned but I am hoping some tickets will show up at the normal fee as I can not afford the prices on getmein. If its meant to be I will get tickets. There needs to be a law against these scalpers.

Well, emphatically YES, Dagmar - we would still have played Sun City if Freddie had been black (he was actually Persian, as I'm sure you know !)
Because contrary to the popular spin at the time, Sun City was in Boputhatswana, not South Africa, and it was totally non-segrated … or we would not have gone there. We played to mixed audiences, and I visited Soweto to open a black music festival. The friends we made on that visit in the black community were part of the reason we were able to make such a success of organising Nelson Mandela's 46664 concert some years later in Green Point Stadium, Cape Town.
There is a lot of misconception about that whole period. Queen never played in any situation which signified endorsement of segregation … and we never will.
But if we decided never to play in any country where there is ignorance and prejudice, I fear we would never play anywhere - including the UK.
We will, of course be looking carefully at current developments in Russia as regards gay rights. Thanks for writing.

Sorry, postwhoring just to say how impressed I am with how well you Queenbert would-be concert goers are handling this. I would be holed up under my bed with a bottle and a box of tissues by now and refusing to come out. Have my request out to the Universe to have this mess turn around for you... Hey, I've got it. Dear Universe: If it works out for all of these nice people vis a vis Queen concert plans I will never ever ever badmouth NAL again, no matter what the provocation. At least not out loud.  |
