THINGS I DO BECAUSE OF ADAM (OR HOW HAS ADAM INFLUENCED MY LIFE? ) - treat my family and friends more nicely
- accept myself for who I am and 'wear' myself proudly
- enjoy my work more and strive to do better every day. To be the best.
- face the challenges in my life more bravely and overcome them more easily
- totally change my wardrobe. More black, more glam, more expensive:) I started spending much more money on clothes than before Adam
- every morning when I put my make up on, when my face comes closer to the mirror, I think of him
- observe every artist through the prysm of Adam Lambert. Few manage not to appear colourless/talentless/bland/boring after that
- listen to music in my head. I do everyday stuff, and his voice haunts me, the sounds and lyrics playing inside my mind. I cannot turn him off.
- join Adamtopia/ Twitter and spend an insane amount of time on line
- learn the Glambert lingo
- embrace gay culture
- watch the hot, cute Finnish guy chat in Finnish and enjoy it!
- estrange myself from those not accepting of my obsession
- buy Dior Addict just because he wore Dior Homme
- contemplate buying a juicer
- start drinking more tea and water
Etc, etc... Love your beautiful Adam inspired life. Just WOW |

Adam Lambert @adamlambert Just caught up on idol from the other night. @krisallen you sounded flawless!! Great performance man! Sometimes Adam amazes me and humbles me. Yes, he is just a man. He is prone to all the achievements and foibles of any of us. But, at the same time he seems like such an old and wise soul. While we are busy tallying up "Adam mentions" in the media, charts, polls, and rankings, and comparing them to other Idols, to KA, to Katy Perry, to Gaga etc, Adam graciously compliments other performers on their accomplishments. While we shake our heads at other performers, thinking how much more talented and deserving Adam is and resenting that the world has not realized how great Adam is, he is enjoying and appreciating the work of others. Adam knows that the success of others in no way diminishes what he is doing. It is not a case of "either/or." He can lift others up without it taking away from him. The more performers who succeed, the happier he is. He has a generous, encouraging spirit. He is also grateful for what he has. He works hard, plays hard, and appreciates the opportunities he has and the support of his fans. As we impatiently await the PR for his newest single and his almost released album, we sometimes get worried, resentful, and even petty. Adam does not. Somehow, he retains all of his enthusiasm, positivity and focus. When I start to angst or carp and complain, I need to stop and say "WWAD?" What would Adam do? ILHSFM. What an emotional post, you're a sweetheart  I agree with everything, but I would like to add something... Although Adam has always been very graceful in his relations with others, he's well aware of the presence / absence of the reciprocity on their behalf. Not only does he not strike me as naive, on the contrary, his socio- emotional intelligence is extremely high. He seems very skilled in human relations, he's very intuitive. That doesn't mean he's calculating, not at all. When he says nice things to other people he most certainly doesn't do that because he expects something in return, but it also doesn't mean that he is unaware whether they treat him in a similar manner or not. The fact that he chooses not to show that awareness PUBLICALLY , and I believe privately as well, is because he's well-mannered and it's futile. He does have this kind of Gandhian dignity, in a sense: I do nice things because it's the part of my moral code, I do not need to have a reason/excuse to behave nicely to other people, I enjoy being nice because it makes ME feel good and a better person.... But, I honestly think he doesn't mind when the fans point out such things. In fact, sometimes I feel like he loves us for it, for the fact that we sometimes voice things he cannot or will not for the reasons mentioned above, but he would if he could.... Idk Awesome posts Cassie & Aleksandrakv I totally agree with everything Cassie said and that's how I sometimes calm my self too; What would Adam do, WWAD?  I don't usually worry for nothing and when everyone here is angsting over something I just scroll, scroll, scroll and hope that next day will be better. :D |

Etc, etc... - oh, I got to add this one: wake up at 4 am because he's having a Twitter party, and leave the bedroom in complete dark, praying that my husband won't throw me out of the house because my phone keeps beeping.... because I just have to know what he has to say
- agree to do the dishes for a month so that my husband would give me his credit card to preorder Trespassing
- share my most intimate feelings with complete strangers just because they're Glamberts, fcol:)

I cant believe how much I love the new music!!!! Adam really has gone beyond even my fangirl expectations.
ETA: GREAT posts Alexandrakv and Cassie. Adam inspires in so many ways!

Two days ago I got into an argument with one member of IF. He said that it is not right to do those experiments with such a great song (he hinted at making a song longer by repeating a chorus and sticking of random parts we got from snippets together), because he considers it to be a 'vandalism'. I disagreed with him on this, because IMHO the person who edited Underneath to a longer version did nothing bad. I personally think that this kind of 'modification' can't harm anybody. Jeez, I love Adam but am I a bad fan when after about two long years of waiting I embrace all available versions, even those created by fans? ETA: Running away from here for a few hours to study for my exam and follow the rule #3 from Aleksandra KV's Charter I think it only becomes a problem when pieced together snippets are labeled and circulated as if they are the complete finished song. I have a problem with them being misrepresented not with the creation of them in the first place. |
