ETA: Its 2 minutes past 6 EST, and only 61% of HAC is in.... ETA2: Ok - They're all in now. Weird day. With 5 adds, Adam is the 8th most-added artist on the HAC board. It was a very slow adds day. Maybe the end of the month is slow?

Looks at adds list in puzzlement. OT, but why the heck is Kelly's "Mr. Know-It-All" have 26 COUNTRY adds this week ?? ??? ??? ??? And how the heck does Goyte get added on a RHYTHMIC station? ETA: Ok - that Goyte song is totally schizophrenic. Adds on Top 40 and HAC, sure. But also on AC, rhythmic, AAA, and Alternative Rock?? That's gotta be the most un-rock song, like EVER! : : : And as much as I think the song is kinda interesting....rhythmic?? Srly?? Because they are actively promoting MKIA to country radio. It's being discussed at MJ's if you are interested. It's a countrified version also. It is not the original production.

Yep, Kelly rerecorded a version for Country. They didn't just change the production. I don't like the version, but maybe they are hoping for a pop song to crossover instead of it always being country songs that cross over to pop. The last song on her CD, Breaking Your Own Heart, actually sounds like a Country song and IMO, is a beautiful song. Maybe it was written as a crossover song that could come straight off the CD if this countrified MKIA works? Gotye's song got its start on Alt. stations from what I understand. It did a cross over to Pop. Rhythmic? I don't have an answer for you there! Is there a remix version that is popular?

Someone in the News thread asked about NCOE on i-Tunes compared to BTIKM. I posted this in News but thought we might want to take a look at this over here too. BTIKM was released to i-Tunes on 12/20. It rose quickly and peaked at #19 over all in less than 24 hours. 4 days later, 12/24 it was #70 12/27 #169 <<< One week later which is where we are right now with NCOE. NCOE is #116 12/29 #210 By the 2 week mark, Jan 3rd. it had dropped to the 400s NCOE is getting immediate radio play, which is probably helping. BTIKM had the holidays to contend with. Its first adds weren't until Jan 2nd. Of course, NCOE is being offered for free on i-Tunes, so that kind of makes its number even better!

Looking at the add board, Gotye's song got its start on Triple A and Alternative stations two or three months before it crossed over to Pop. Also, it has several Rhythmic stations that have added it. Weird!

I see Q102 added the Pitbull song yesterday. Since that was an HAC add day does that mean they are done for the week?
