My DD just said the 21 min snippet collection has become her new obsessive jam and says the entire album is great and people are crazy if they don't like it. She's 33 and was playing it while she was working in the office at Pitt on Sunday and 3 people came down and asked her who is that singer?! She is now as bummed as I am that we need to wait until 5/15. She loves that it feels "so Adam" and yet there are so many types of songs and they are all modern and each one is better than the last. She has yet to pick a favorite.

Hmm..wish I was more 'puter savy. Maybe try creating a new file and choose NCOE from wherever it's stored on your computer? That's the only way I could even begin playing it (after I purchased NCOE from itunes). I really hope someone can help you because I know how frustrated you must be feeling. I still have it. Streaming right now. I logged out and searched again. Still nothing.

Not trying to jump on you, but it really irks me when people say this. Almost the whole album, or at least half is radio single ready, so I just wish people would stop acting as if the album was bad, and they had to go back to the drawing board to add in more "radio friendly" songs, because what he had wasn't good enough. And damn, the Bruno song was there for awhile before the delay, they just touched it up, like Adam had said, pretty much what he has been doing all along with the whole album; rerecording different vocals, getting different producers to get the songs to his satisfaction. Sorry, I just hear this a lot with nonstans with there passive aggressive comments, and it just gets under my skin. .. is being radio friendly "good" or "bad"? Obviously "radio friendly" is "good" for radio exposure that apparently leads to sales. However, to TO ME "radio friendly" = generic, watered down, not interesting musically or lyrically = "bad".
I tend to think that Adam had a killer line up, and was forced to add BTIKM (early)+make it a single and NCOE (late)+ make it a single...these replaced his songs, that were probably killers like all other songs he has written on. BUT, it added "radio frinedly" songs... ... is that "good" or '"bad"? Excuse my language, but I think this line of thinking is bullshit. I don't believe for a second that RCA forced Adam to do anything. In a business, relationship, etc., there's always compromising. Just because you think those songs are boring and generic, and don't belong on the album because they're suppose to be "radio friendly" that doesn't mean that Adam thinks this, nor does it make it true. And I'm saying this as some one who loves BTIKM, but initially hated NCOE. Let's remember that NCOE was one of the singles that was shown around to media people, along with Cuckoo, Trespassing, Kickin In, Underneath, etc., before there was any finalizing done to the tracklist, and was actually raved about even in it's rough form. You don't like what's played on the radio, fine. But that doesn't mean that everything on there is generic, watered down, and not interesting. Even amongst some of the poor music that's played on the radio, there are some gems on there. Q3 comment: It is OK to disagree -- and it is even OK to post a unpopular opinion here. But please watch the tone of posts. Thanks.
Now back to flailing about real live adds.

It's a ding day. 5 adds. And HAC is just over half in! ETA: Regarding major labels and singles -- the contract says that the label will select the singles and RCA often requires artists to record the songs RCA picks. Adam is too disciplined to ever talk about these things in public. Other artists are more outspoken.

I was just reading my google alerts and one of them included an article about Trespassing listening parties here and abroad. Anyway, it reminded me that I should probably post a reminder about the E. Central Illinois T-Party, which is being held at my house June 22-24. So far 5 Atopers have indicated an interest. T-Party is an opportunity to meet other Atopers, to stan Adam (without being side-eyed), and to eat, drink, & listen to his music non-stop--and maybe anticipate the Queen concerts, too. I’m thinking we’re gonna have an outstanding time!
See Members Only under ‘Trespassing listening parties’ thread to read about location and how to contact me for details.

LOL, I just DMed Chunkey: "Gawd, I will get down on my knees to praise God, Allah, Mohammad, the Baby Jebus, Zeus, Guadalupe and the Easter Bunny if this goes easy!!" Please oh please oh please!!! It would be sooooo lovely if HE (and we) has turned that magic corner and everything doesn't have to be a fight this time. The thought of it makes me. <--- Happy tears. Luzrnaz, I voted for NCOE, though I did hesitate because I have always loved FYE. My dilemma was much like rabbitrabbit's, but I went the reverse. Yes, it might be "shiny new song" syndrome, but I wanted to indicate fan enthusiasm and support for the song – right now. And also, I want the perception that fans are excited about Adam's current and future music, not reminiscing about the past.
