Would like some info from those of you who track songs or artists on Top40 and HAC. If a lead song from an album doesn't do well, do radio stations become reluctant to play a second single off that album?? If the second song off that album fairs well, if played, and doesn't reach Top 10, do radio stations not play or are reluctant to play a third single? Does play always come down to unofficial payola? Would appreciate some insight IMHO none of the above mentioned really comes into play. Adam has really done the work going from station to station this time.. He has also had two hits with the last album.. So all is good. I don't believe His last single was as successful as NCOE will certainly be. But it wasn't a failure either and it got no PR to speak of. What kind of PR were you hoping for that it didn't get? Adam isn't at the level of some artists, but BTIKM did get quite a lot of attention and media. It just didn't work on CHR. Smokey: If you are someone like David Cook or Kris Allen, your first single is really the most important single. They haven't been in the public eye or in the media for a couple of years, so their first single was being used as a way to reintroduce them back to the general public. IMO, it is "one and done" with these two and other artists like them. Adam is in a different category. He has kept himself in the public eye and stayed relevant and the media is still interested in everything he does. This last part is PR that you can't buy or produce. It is organic. You either have "IT" or you don't. The PDs will give NCOE another shot, without question, because THEY are interested in Adam as a singer, entertainer and as a celebrity. Plus, they know that they general public and media feel the same way. Why do you think Adam was still included in the big radio shows this spring with all the popular artists? (even though BTIKM didn't get much CHR play) Did you also notice his picture isn't stuck in the back either!  I really believe the PDs WANTED to play a new song from Adam, RCA just selected the wrong first single. It happens. (all the time) Even though it wasn't his first, Bruno sent out a flop single and followed it up with a successful one. Rihanna started one of her eras with a flop single. I can't remember which one, because they all run together because she never takes a fucking break! :  Same thing for Jlo and Nicki Minaj. Will NCOE be a hit? IDK, but I do believe that radio stations are still very much open to playing a good song, that fits their station and listeners, from Adam. |

No one knows what time it will start, but judging by our check in time, I would guess around 7:30-8:00 Pacific time. Good grief! 3:30-4:00AM here then :( Think I'll go to bed early for a few hours, get up and watch it, then head back to bed. Excitement |

Kelly was rather negative about Adam after the AMAs and they haven't had him back on since then. Maybe she has finally moved past it? : Are you sure you are not confusing that with Kathy Lee? She made statements on her show. I do not remember anything from Kelly. I am! You are right, it was Kathy Lee. >:( Kelly is a fangirl! ( Kathy Lee is a Beyotch) |

You have security settings that are blocking it. Reset your preferences and then change them back after you are done. You have to change it to "accept all cookies." I have the same problem when I did a test run and tried to submit a Canadian mediabase form. I have no problem with US stations, the cookies are fine, but in Chrome and Safari, even resetting captcha many times it won't submit the Canadian forms for me (I'm in the US so I figured it might be that, but if you are in Canada...) I'd check the station websites and see if there are alternate ways to request. |

I just checked with my Barnes and Noble bookstores here in St. Louis and they said they would not be getting the May issue until May 1st. You might want to call your B&N and make sure it's in now. One of my B&N said they don't stock it at all while they other one did. So it's best to check this stuff out before you make a special trip. My B&N doesn't carry Instinct either (big surprise) but I called their number and spoke with a really nice young man who took my order, and he said it would be shipped in 3-5 days. Maybe phone orders are going out quicker? I called our Barnes and Noble Book store ,they don't have the May edition of Instinct yet. I also e mailed company about the Fault Magazine and they answered me right away ,to say it would take at least another three weeks to get my batch out. They are going out in batches.. Geez Adam does put the magazines he's in into a tizzy . |
