??? Um, think I need to read backwards. Hoopla, you ok? Yep, thanks for asking, HSM. I was literally "broken open" for a couple days, but really, seeing Craig before he died really helped me. I will be fine. I do not relish the thought of going to four funerals next week...but massive celebratory memorials are planned for Roger and Craig (neither wanted funerals) 3/19, and honestly, they should be fun(!?), as weird as that sounds. Tears will be cleansing more than sad (I hope.) Was on my way to bed and saw this tweet, reminding me of a post from this morning...think I'll stay up for JessieJ. Just got back from early gig with hubby. Wife of drummer oddly followed me to ladies' room, made sure stalls were empty then flailed about Adam in general and Idol appearance in particular. Weirdest thing ever. She's super nice, but definitely rocker chick look and rep so wasn't ready to lose any cred by admitting being a fan. She knew I was from little teasing at table about whether I missed him while he was gone or if Adam was sufficient. She told me when our guys were out of town last summer, she flew to Atlanta to see her sister, semi-true cover story, and they went to Tabernacle. No other dates worked out for her so that was only one. Would never admit it to her husband.
Strange, strange discussion ensued until someone came in and she departed with sshhhh finger to lips but huge smile as if we were co-conspirators. I felt like I was in BOURNE ULTIMATUM, it was so undercover.

Very cute if you are NOT the walrus  : What the heck??????? I, eat, drink and exercise NO differently than I did 5 yrs. ago, why oh why do I not look like the trainer?????????????? :-/ Adam related..............?????????............none what so ever 8-) Guess I better sign off before I loose my posting privileges. Love to All. Cayman, that workout vid is hilarious! And thanks, guys, but truly I am fine. I just hadn't shared it except for a few pm's, cause...well, I've barely even been able to be here. I'm just thankful--like Mayumi--to have a place to come to get happy during sad times. And the talk of special memories WE share here--apple pie and Linda's special GB geometry lesson--well, they reminded me again of R's poem. We HAVE really shared some fun! |

Mayumi, if you can, go. Even if its just for one of those crazy fly there stay 3 hours and fly back days. If not, call, Skype, or just send flowers in one those nutty coffee mugs every once in a while. In a strange way, getting a horrible heads up is a blessing. Its so easy to think "I'll catch them later", and sometimes there isn't any warning. There's time still to love her so much.
Hoopla, I am so so sorry for your losses. Your cousin sounded like such a luminous soul, as did your friend Craig. My condolences, bb.
