YES to all, but I don't entirely agree with the remarks about the ladies of forty and fifty. You don't have to be part of a group to be sensitive to that group. Sometimes people outside of any particular group are enlightened and have no baggage. Many of us have felt the sting of bigotry in our lives. Bigotry is bigotry, hate is hate.Let me add to be a women comes with all types of prejudice,on a daily basis, from the blaring of Tv ads,to what is going on our country today.,to how many women we have in Congress,to homophobic songs on the air,to get thin quick notices, to you're not pretty enough, you're not smart enough, you're too old and a women,I could go on all day. I love Adam for his talent ,I especially love him because he loves &honors women. I feel for him because I am a JEWISH WOMEN who has felt bigotry all my life.I will fight for Adam to be free in this society until I'm too old to fight any more and I don't have to be gay to do so.Equality is for all. IDK, I agree that all forms of bigotry and hate are deplorable- but I have a hard time looking at bigotry against women or older women as being on the same level as the issues that those in the LGBT community are currently facing. We are talking about a group of people who are denied many of the basic human and civil rights that most people, including most minorities, in this country readily receive. As women, we can marry, adopt, and provide insurance benefits for our children and spouses. We also don't have to hide that we are women to our families or the outside world. Our families don't throw us out on the streets when we are 16 or 17 years old when they find out we are a female. Of course both groups face bigotry, I just don't think you can (during this current day and time) compare the two in this country on many levels. I agree and I'm not comparing the two, there is no comparison,I'm just saying that maybe we can relate , I can understand why some women might want to protect Adam from prejudice.

Yep, I'm sorry, that article does feel kinda offensive to me. Not because I care who's more feminine or less; and I do think the general idea and message was really positive.
Just - okay, let me quote at you. We long for a strong, butch, male to whom we can point and say ‘see world that is us.’ "butch"- "fem" I can understand, but how "strong" comes into this? You don't need to be butch to be strong, okay.
We should own a Weir and a Lambert as much as we do a figure like a Gareth Thomas. Because while Lambert and Weir may not represent all of us, they do represent some segment of our community. Huh? So I take it, Gareth Thomas DOES represent "all of us" then?
The reality is, though, that men like Lambert and Weir are part of our community and we shouldn’t shy away from them. This is the problem for me I guess - the author, while proclaiming it's bad to generalize, does just that. He clearly divides some US (butch gay men best represented by Mr Thomas I presume) and THEM (Adam, Johnny Weir and every gay man perceived more effeminate than a general PC version).
It just feels really condescending, you know? There are no we and they ffs. Gay peeps are just as varied as straights. Adam said all that ages ago in that Canada interview.
There are tons of effeminate straight men, and make-up wearing straight men, and fashion-loving straight men, AND just freak-flag type straight men too. And everybody loves it, the novelty and daring or whatever. It's so simple - people are NOT the same, nor they should be. We are different, straight and gay, pollyannas and debbie downers, outrageous and sensible. And it's totally okay.

idolator.com/6406062/adam-lambert-bruno-mars-never-close-our-eyes-who-did-it-betterWho Sang “Never Close Our Eyes” Better — Adam Lambert Or Bruno Mars? Becky Bain April 26th, 2012 Adam Lambert often writes his own material — he co-wrote eight out of twelve tracks on his upcoming sophomore album Trespassing —but he’s not opposed to releasing tunes originally written and recorded by other artists. We’ve previously pitted Adam’s versions of “Fever” and “Whataya Want From Me” against the recordings of the song’s writers — Lady Gaga and Pink, respectively. And since we found audio of Bruno Mars performing “Never Close Our Eyes”, Adam’s new single written by the Grammy-winning crooner, it’s time to let us know — who sang it better? Jump below to judge. For me, the term "alpha male" means a strong decisive man, a leader. In my eyes, that description fits Adam to a T. He is a MAN. He is STRONG. He is DECISIVE. He is a LEADER. He is an ALPHA MALE. I don't understand the anti-Alpha rant concerning Adam.
Cassie- I like your definition upthread of Alpha Male. 8-)

OT Question for internet savvy peeps.. I just got an email advertising information on back injuries, but the creepy thing is that it had "Adam-my son's name" as the "From" address. How would they get these names, especially my son's name? ???
