I reflected upon writing a post about some of my own experiences regarding exclusion/inclusion, but decided against it -- I think this discussion has been interesting and as usual, everyone has their own take on things. One thing I like about Adam is that he provokes conversation and generates opinions. Now I think I will swim back into the shallow end and float around for awhile.
That said, I am really looking forward to Kimmel tonight and wish I could be there!

So the fact that people are lining up, might indicate that the rain has subsided???

OT Question for internet savvy peeps.. I just got an email advertising information on back injuries, but the creepy thing is that it had "Adam-my son's name" as the "From" address. How would they get these names, especially my son's name? ??? I would think HIS email account has been compromised and the hackers are sending spam to all his contacts. I've got these spammy emails from friends before and it has happened to my own email account. He needs to change his password.

YES to all, but I don't entirely agree with the remarks about the ladies of forty and fifty. You don't have to be part of a group to be sensitive to that group. Sometimes people outside of any particular group are enlightened and have no baggage. Many of us have felt the sting of bigotry in our lives. Bigotry is bigotry, hate is hate.Let me add to be a women comes with all types of prejudice,on a daily basis, from the blaring of Tv ads,to what is going on our country today.,to how many women we have in Congress,to homophobic songs on the air,to get thin quick notices, to you're not pretty enough, you're not smart enough, you're too old and a women,I could go on all day. I love Adam for his talent ,I especially love him because he loves &honors women. I feel for him because I am a JEWISH WOMEN who has felt bigotry all my life.I will fight for Adam to be free in this society until I'm too old to fight any more and I don't have to be gay to do so.Equality is for all. IDK, I agree that all forms of bigotry and hate are deplorable- but I have a hard time looking at bigotry against women or older women as being on the same level as the issues that those in the LGBT community are currently facing. We are talking about a group of people who are denied many of the basic human and civil rights that most people, including most minorities, in this country readily receive. As women, we can marry, adopt, and provide insurance benefits for our children and spouses. We also don't have to hide that we are women to our families or the outside world. Our families don't throw us out on the streets when we are 16 or 17 years old when they find out we are a female. Of course both groups face bigotry, I just don't think you can (during this current day and time) compare the two in this country on many levels. Good points, but then we have come a long way baby. (and much farther to go) The gay community is heading that way but it is an uphill battle just like women's rights have been.

rabbitrabbit wrote: For me, the term "alpha male" means a strong man, a leader. In my eyes, that description fits Adam to a T. I don't understand the anti-Alpha rant concerning Adam. Part of the problem is at least here in America people misuse the term Alpha male when they really are talking about Macho or machismo. Those two terms are not equal. The chest pounding, posturing, aggressive, and often misogynistic displays of "Macho Man" are not the qualities of an Alpha male. As Cassie stated earlier the Alpha doesn't need all that bullshit. Those macho displays are the hallmark of the lower ranking males who feel the need to constantly assert their position. They lack the confidence of the Alpha and thus are always looking to establish their dominance through displays of masculinity. The Alpha on the other hand can walk into a room and put everyone in place with just a look. They are confident and secure enough that they don't have to engage in all the bullshit posturing.

So you think Adam's name was also on there because I sent something to my son with the subject: Adam?
