Ya know, I have been nothing buy happy for everyone and their opportunities to see Adam's promo performances, talk about their trips to see Queen etc. I am stuck far from either coast with kids keeping me close, and I can't and don't complain. But tonight....I now know how great his album is. This is his first almost-real public concert with multiple songs. New songs....Tonight, I am jealous. Aw, bb - hugs. At least you can see the live stream and full concert online! You'll get to see him live - hear that, universe? Thanks!! It helps to know I have company on the sidelines. And I am thankful that everyone else is in bed so I don't have to divide my attention and contain my squee to much. Off to see just how horrendous the Queen tribute band was. Not that that will cheer me up. |

HOPPERS -- Thanks for your post. I resemble it! I think so many women who are a little older resonate with Adam because we "get" the feeling of being an outsider and/or marginalized. When I went to seminary, women were 12% of the clergy in my church -- it's more like 50% now. It's changed pretty fast, but there is still plenty of resistance out there. I am not in the parish anymore, but still work in ministry and am fortunate to live in the NW where attitudes are more open (most people don't bother with church of any kind here, so they don't care!).
Adam DOES look fabulous in leather pants--and reminds me of some of my gay theater and music friends. I've always been drawn to people like him, and it's a joy to see him become so successful!
