Freshtival musings.... Just booked a room at the Gaylord National and asked a bunch of questions. Apparently the concert will be out in the front lawn, on the river side. I asked how they will keep it exclusive to the "paying customers", and he wasn't sure, lol. Sounds like the area will be roped off, but anyone in the vicinity will be able to hear. This is sort of great, actually - those of us with passes will be really close to the stage (I anticipate that this will have less than 1000 people), but everyone in the area will be able to hear the amazing vocals!!! It does sort of torque me that there isn't a way to buy into just the show. I literally live 2.5 miles from the hotel. Ride my bike over there all the time. I could probalby hear the music from my house, lol. But have to buy a $250 hotel room to go. Oh well..... it will be a nice way to have a sort of stay-cation and avoid all traffic, etc. Hope they get a good turn out. It is weird timing and i wouldn't expect a lot of non-stans to be running from afar to buy tickets. First of all - how would anyone outside of the Fresh FM listening area know about it if they weren't already in the glamdom? Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Best news is a small, very local show, and a great location. Gaylord is quite impressive and lots of good restaurants around. There is a water taxi that goes to Mt. Vernon, Old Town Alexandria, and Georgetown, and also other river cruises that start in National Harbor. Plenty to do for a little weekend get-away. Ya'll come! Its worth restating tho' that buying a hotel room gets you FOUR (4) tickets. Which comes out to $63/person for all-day event passes plus a place to sleep if peeps want to share bunking. Or, one can wait for the radio give away tix, which are free day passes. Its just has to do with the level of risk one is willing to deal with. I'm so glad the whole "HoppersSkippersMinors family" is coming!!! This is going to be so great and in such a beautiful place. Told Schufly that it will be nice to see Adam against the Potomac all lit up at night. Such beauty...and the river looks nice too. ;D

Hey, remember the FYE jacket notes? "To Drake: You have the most inspiring spirit. TY for keeping it grounded and real. TY for reminding me to make art from the soul and live life to it fullest. Boo...Lurv you."
Wonder what his jacket notes will say in Era 2?
He thanked EVERYONE on FYE -- can you tell I just reread them?
