100% adds are in. Not gonna lie. I am disappointed I'm not terribly. He's getting spun quite a bit by New York even if they didn't officially add today. There are 15 stations actively spinning NCOE that haven't added yet. His AI is much larger than BTIKM per spin - meaning he's getting spun in bigger markets during daylight hours ...AND... His impact date is not until the end of the month.   |

His impact date is not until the end of the month. yeah, I'm really just learning here, but I think I'm observing (could be wrong) that when big artists have song impact dates they suck up a great deal of the adds on that day. That's one of the reasons I was happy about the adds day for NCOE being later than some expected, because it wasn't on a day another song would necessarily steal its' thunder. For today the big song impacting was Usher's Scream with 91 or so adds, but there were also some other songs adding (or near their adds date) that were sucking up 30 adds a piece. I could be totally wrong, but I'm thinking that timing (and limited spaces opening up on playlists) is really important when it comes to weekly adds. |

ITA part of picking the clean date late in May was strategic. But since they shot the MV today, they can also get the video out when they go for adds -- and that make the launch stronger. --- Setting that aside - I am pleased with the adds because they have 3 more add dates to go. And RCA must be staging this one for the add date.  |

Lol, tigerlily Actually, Adam said NCOE was the single "radio showed the most interest in," which wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement, imo anyway. But, I still have a lot of confidence in the CHR potential of the song. The adds date is weeks away. Of course, if the adds date comes and goes and NCOE is ignored by the major markets (Z100) I'll be in fighting mode. |
