BTIKM may be purged from HAC this weekend according to Yes Peeps. It was bound to happen. They think it won't go recurrent, I guess.

BTIKM will be dropped from the Mediabase chart -- here is the current recurrent rule for Mediabase which applies to the CHR, HAC, and Alt charts. - Songs which have been on the chart for over 20 weeks, that have hit the Top 10 and fall below #10, are removed. - Songs that have been on the chart for over 20 weeks that do not hit the Top 10 but start to lose spins will be removed after two consecutive weeks of spin lose. BTIKM did not make the Top 10 -- and has lost spins for 2 consecutive weeks. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT HAC STATIONS WILL NOT PLAY IT ANYMORE -- IT JUST MEANS THAT IT WILL NOT BE ON THE MEDIABASE CHART. It is a sign to stations, however, that it is time to move on to NCOE!!!!  |

I meant to post this when Jim Shearer tweeted this but forgot. This is why it is virtually impossible for a video to make the VH1 countdown the first week. Looks like they film on Monday.
