Still have confidence in NCOE, although it clearly is going to take longer than I was expecting. Honestly, Adam needs a hot collaboration. He needs someone with MAJOR radio cred to rap on his song. There, I said it, lol. What Adam is lacking is the "cool" factor. JLo and Enrique's careers were saved by getting Pitt Bull on their singles. It probably would reek of selling-out, but I don't care anymore, lol. He needs someone with cred to open the door. One thing I don't believe is that homophobia is what is holding Adam back. He lost the "coolness and cred" thanks to Idol (of course, he gained a lot, too---double-edged sword) .. but wasn't Adam sacrificed to Bruno's "coolness" already? How far is he supposed to go? If he needs rapping drek to become "cool" then perhaps he can do better without radio domination... seriously...write songs and tour... ... and just to preclude the commenting on my word of choice (sacrificed) - this is my opinion given the other songs on the album. I know all the arguments (Bruno is huge, Grammy, 12 mil followers, super talented, etc., etc., etc....)...it took Bruno a few years to hit it big as well...it took Queen EIGHT years to break the US market... ..anyway... it seems that we are starting to angst a bit too early... lets give it another week or two... Yeah, but look where that got us and Adam. Poor bb! The next single better be one of Adam's! Adam doesn't need to lower himself to the level of Jlo and Enrique! Please, he is so much better than them! I agree with you , it did take Bruno a few years. This next year will be Adam's year like Bruno's was a year ago! Adam could pull a Gaga all over the US PDs asses or he COULD PULL A QUEEN! After all, that would be appropriate! :D

Here are some numbers' facts/adds/comparisons for you all
Right now NCOE has 15 adds. At the same point in the adds history of BTIKM, it had 11 adds, NCOE has one less Pop add than BTIKM had at this point. The biggest Pop adds day for BTIKM was it's adds date, 1/31. NCOE is being added and/or played in much larger markets than BTIKM. BTIKM got it's initial adds from small markets. This is why the NCOE audience impression(AI) is so much higher than BTIKM was at this point. No NYC Top 40 station played BTIKM. NCOE has Z100's sister station playing it, WKTU. BTW, Q102 hasn't even added Usher's song yet.
Am I disappointed and surprised at no adds yesterday, "Absolutely yes." But I am not ready to send Adam to Europe for 2 years yet. My rationale is the May 29th add date that RCA came up with. I am going to believe, until May 30th, that they have some kind of marketing plan.

Well, in my opinion, it is way to soon to worry about this song doing poorly! Its only been two weeks with little or no promo. Wait until after the album drops and he is on Idol to angst (if necessary). Again, he is not a big star and he has not had a big enough hit to expect his songs to go shooting up the charts. Keep requesting and voting and send positive thoughts to the universe!!! Thank you so much for this, stardust! I totally agree. Adam WILL get there, with or without the help of radio. And yes, keep voting and sending positive thoughts. It works!

BTW sorry if I set off an angst round with my post but I am not yet at the point of worrying. What I meant was that when all is said and done with the songs if radio didn't play it a decent amount then I will call bullshit. Made my post too brief. Yes we are still in much early days and I still have hopes that this song will do well. Just kind of projecting in to the future how I will feel if it doesn't catch on at CHR like BTIKM failed to do.
Adam will be around for a long time to come because when you are that good as a live performer you will continue to build an audience. I don't think radio is the be all and end all of Adam's career as a whole. Maybe he'll just end up the biggest cult star in the world. Maybe somewhere along the lines some of his songs will find homes on formats other than pop. I seriously doubt his future with RCA hinges completely on radio as it seems they see his potential elsewhere. But even if somehow RCA gives up on him I think his growing reputation in the industry will still afford him the connections to work with top notch people.
So I am not "worried" about much of anything maybe just a bit "suspicious" of radio at this point but I have faith that Adam will be successful. I don't have a need to define what form that success will take the important part is that Adam is HAPPY with his career wherever it takes him.

I wonder they could hit 1 million and 2 million, respectively.

Aw, sorry bb! NCOE is a great song (because of Adam). Like Junie posted, sometimes artists are meant to be album sellers! I still think that NCOE will find it's way through all the biases and triumph. Adam deserves that! If not, he will triumph in other parts of the world and he will show them all with his album numbers! I want what Adam wants too and I'm working till my fingers bleed right along with you! Oh, sorry, didn't mean to be confusing! Gaga wasn't getting play in the US so she went over to Europe to make a name for herself. When she came back, the PDs had to play her because she was such a huge success everywhere else! Adam can pull a Gaga, just like her! I'm going to have a disagree with you on the homophobia, but I agree with you on the Idol stigma. It's like a double whammy for Adam. (or just a single whammy for you :D) BB will go to Europe, sing with Queen and show them all! Oh no, I wanted to deleted the bolded part, because while writing my post I understood what you wanted to say, and than somehow forgot the deleting. :

Also, we have been wondering what Kris sold Idol week, so here are his numbers.
Kris Allen, The Vision of Love (7,000 weekly, 21,000 release-to-date)
