If he gets a good amount of adds this week (and I think he will) IMO, he could be Top 50 by next week. I assume you're talking about HAC adds not CHR. I realize the impact date for CHR is a month away but stations can add earlier can they not? Would they add THIS early tho? If Q102 adds this week it may be tomorrow - don't they often add on Monday? If the CHR stations don't add/spin prior to impact date he will be performing a song on Idol that few people have heard. Correct? Yes, I seem to be hung up on CHR. I just don't want NCOE to get bogged down in HAC like BTIKM did. Been there, done that.

I saw on twitter, too, that there was suppossed to be one or two real spins, but I check the starters and leaders lists a few times and never saw Q102. Could it be, that their first spin was Thursday 19th or earlier? because I've definitly checked allaccess on friday and did not see Q102. But if there have been real spins we should be able to see them on mediabase tomorrow. As far as I've been tracking, the only real Q102 spin was when it won the takeover match up which was either last wk or earlier. It has given several iheartradio online spins over the past week, possibly to promo their concert. Last night's spin was an iheartradio/online one. Quite a few Canadian top 40 stations have been giving at least test/syndicated spins, some in large markets \o/ I've checked the Canadian spins: 65 CHR (#50 has 136 spins) and 10 HAC (#50 has 107 spins)!

iTunes Pop Chart from Pam
203. Never Close Our Eyes - Adam Lambert 330. Better Than I Know Myself - Adam Lambert 368. Whataya Want from Me - Adam Lambert
I was hoping that NCOE would stay up a little longer, but the fact that WWFM is still hanging in the top 400 suggests that new fans are buying. Wonder if WWFM is close to 2XPlatinum now. Why do you suppose iTunes blocked the charts??

And just because it hasn't been added yet, doesn't mean they can't spin it. Vice versa, just because it's been added doesn't mean they will spin. And I think there is too much focus being put on Idol. That is a one or 2 week bump. It will be a great introduction to the album and I do expect a good Idol bump. But it's not the be all and end all. Gawd, I hope not. THE ALBUM IS AMAZEBALLS!!!! The week of May 15th is just the beginning!

myspenser - I'm not putting all my eggs in the Idol basket. Definitely not. But many (including you ) have said the impact of an idol performance is much greater if the song is already familiar to viewers. When did Stefano perform? He's still at #87 overall. I don't know where he was before the performance but his song couldn't have been very high. So it seems as though he got a very good, somewhat sustained bump. Trespassing is amazing! And the album sales are the focus I'm sure. But the savvy folks are always saying hit singles will sell the album. Excited for adds tomorrow!!! But I guess I should lower expectations maybe?

Wow. #163 before the show? I'm amazed because I never heard of it & didn't even realize he'd been signed to a label. Guess I'm outside the idol bubble completely. ;D Does he have an album coming out?

I thought the #23 was on the pop list the peak on overall was somewhere between #44 and #53. This was after the feeds started screwing up. Someone was reporting #44 on MJ's but when I checked in the store it was #53 but I had the explicits listed and maybe they didn't, not sure. But yes it was about #163 before speculation is that the Rock Mafia and New Boys connection helped give the song a great start out of the gate. Or it could be that he connected with people through the tour more than anyone realized. He did get really good response and reviews throughout tour.

rihannsu: I went back and looked at the threads at MJs and you are right, #23 was on the Pop charts. I REALLY wish people would quit reporting pop and rock charts, because they really mean nothing! (other than a way for Stans to make their fave seem more important) A single is either charting and moving up on the overall chart or it isn't a significant enough number to even report!
