OK... I GIVE UP TRYING TO POST CAUSE I KEEP GETTING COCKBLOCKED AND ANGRY-BEARED AND NO-ACCESSED AND NOTHING'S WORKING SO I QUIT AND I'M GOING TO BED!!!!   I borrow this.. I cannot post . I'm stuck on the modify post page for ages and its sacks !! I have enough for now... >:( |

Under "Pop" Adam has an banner on Canada iTunes!  A friend asked me the other day what genre Trespassing was. I didn't know what to tell them :-[ Wiki has it listed as pop so I'd go with that or you could use the #electropopemofunk term that Adam used. |

It's time for my next round of post-op cancer blood tests, which usually make me nervous. But I don't feel very nervous today because I've been laughing half the night. I found some behind-the-scenes video of my first few minutes with Adam Lambert. In it, I'm breaking down my initial approach to the guitar parts on his song "Shady."Adam was late getting to the studio and I had limited time. I'd never seen this footage before because it was shot by my guitar tech. It was in a folder that I didn't recognize labeled "Last Minute Out Of Control." Nile's added comment.. The day that we recorded "Shady" we had limited time. It was a last minute session that was desperately thrown together. Adam had called saying he'd be late, so I just started jamming before I could get his ideas. In this video, I was explaining why I'd chosen to play what I played before knowing what he and his producer wanted. It's funny watching me being me! -N |

So glad the board seems to be functioning ok again! For a while I was like  and having withdrawal symptoms, but now it's back to this  Adam has a video shoot today, yay! I hope we hear or see something from it.  I know what you mean when you talk about withdrawal symptoms! As I wrote before I`v been busy watching All about Adam Lambert and I really have done that!Don`t know if there is still something I´v missed but let me tell you-I`v seen A LOT and more I see the more I want.I`m like maniac  |

...there are a ton of other VERY talented musicians, singers and arrangers involved in these performances. The background singers sound good because they are professionals who have had years upon years of training and also had experience singing for and touring with a Grammy winning artist. Adam is great at what he does, but he didn't walk in and suddenly make these two women, who have countless years of experience, "sound good". That seems dismissive to these two talented vocalists. I completely disagree with the part in bold One would expect that any LA professional would be technically proficient, dedicated to their craft, and skilled or they wouldn't still working in LA. Competition is FIERCE and I assume that anyone who is actually making a long-term career as a paid singer there is extremely talented. Its a given. Nothing dismissive in the slightest. However, the alchemy involved in bringing something from technically proficient to transcendent is different, and involves not only the folk in the back, but the leader out front. Think in the difference in live television performances when Lisa (the original keyboardist) was playing for Adam versus Ke$ha. Lisa is a fantastic musician (and IMO probably the best 'classic' player he's had - incredibly skilled pianist). But the difference in the two overall PERFORMANCES had to do with Adam and Ke$ha. There is absolutely no denying Lisa's skills. But she, herself, does not "make" a performance. She can potentially break it by performing badly, but as a supporting person cannot not "make" it. The person who does the final assembly and takes on the ultimate responsibility of bringing all the skilled pieces together to create the holistic whole is the one who "makes" a performance. And in an Adam Lambert performance, that person/leader is Adam Lambert. |

OTT I don't get ANY of the decisions the judges are making on The Voice Australia - completely WTF happened to being about singers so far going through from tonight's battles are the mumbler, the diva with the runs, the grumpy rocker... Have been listening to naked love as a palette cleanser in between - makes it bearable :-)
