David Foster is on Dr Phil today. He's talking to someone who wants to break into the music business. He asked the kid what he thought was the MOST important part of being successful in the music business. The kid says, "songwriting". Foster says NO, it's networking and comments that B. Spears has never written a song. He further commented about collaborations, etc. which happen because of the strong networking a musician has put in place. One thing for certain, Adam has nailed the singing and networking piece. YAY! Interesting thanks for bringing this over. |

So I have to share something really cool (or at least cool for me) I was taking my daughter to gymnastics, got in the car and BTIKM was playing on 96.7. Now this isn't The Mix, and it's unmonitored, but this is probably the second largest HAC station in the Chicago area. I also managed to catch it yesterday in the car on this same station. And the DJ called him "the hugely famous Adam Lambert." They are giving away a trip to LA to see Idol and that description came out of that connection. Anyway, this is only the second time I have legitimately (meaning not counting U Mix It) heard Adam on the radio in Chicago since maybe 2010. What time was it when you heard the songs on car radio? I don't have the luck yet. :( |

Don't panic, they spun it almost too much right off the bat and are probably backing off a little but will pick up again closer to album drop. This is not unusual at all. Phew okay.. good to hear that!  It was a bit disconcerting to hear it spun 4 times a day, then nothing at all. : ETA But why do they even need to back off? And then to back off to no spins? |
