Perhaps Adam, like many of us are TIRED of seeing the singers lose this competition. It is a singing competition and the best SINGERS should go head to head for the title. I think Adam is entitled to his opinion and if those inside the idol bubble don't like it oh well...he speaks the truth. Jessica and Joshua are head and shoulders above the other two there, esp Phillip. I toootally agree. I am so tired of Adam being held by some unrealistic standard where he's not allowed to voice his opinion – especially when it's true!! So what if people question him on it? He's survived far worse than "Oh, you might have hurt a competition show contestant's feelings." Sure these kids are young, but they went into this show knowing that every idol blogger, commentator, poster, watcher and a few random others (comedians, talk show hosts) would have an opinion and they wouldn't hold back in expressing it. Jeeze, Jimmy Iovine, their mentor, coach and prospective boss says FAR worse every single week. No one is going treat them with kid gloves once they're out in the industry. I got a little frustration from Adam in that he's seeing what he's seen soooo many times – an inferior singer and performer who might very likely win while the superior talent who is female, ethnic and possibly (I'd say likely) gay will lose. It is getting REALLY old. I say call it as you sees it, Adam. We all do. Susie you may just have hit the real driver behind this tweet (Or a pomegranate might just be a fruit)

Adam should come out of his shell and say what he really means! (Man, this tweet is going to hit all the Idol sites!) Yup. I love Adam and agree with him on this one, but really wish he had stopped with the first part. The "wipe the floor" part is a little unkind and these kids are all so young. And, they probably all look up to him as an Idol star. Idk, why does he always have to do something like this right before he's got something big coming up--i.e., his album drop and his Idol performance? Love him, but wish sometimes he would apply the filter a bit. I'm kind of hoping he wakes up, realizes how it sounds, and deletes that part, at least. Just my opinion. My guess, judging by the time of that tweet, is thatAdam may have had a few glasses of wine But you know what? Jimmy has said worse at times. And when Randy is being mean, he has been worse "just keepin it real" < Randy quote

OK so I listened to Joshua Ledet for the first time and wow a beautiful voice!
I agree with earlier posters that he doesn't have the animated open face. He's shielded.
It usually takes a village of very supportive people to create that kind of emotional openness.
That's where Adam is very different and very courageous as a human being.

I think the rest like Adam are very talented and will get record contracts. Adam is trying to get people to vote for the right person. I hope he can sway people to vote for talent not cute. Adam tweet away..

Adam hasn't been shy about expressing his opinion on Idol contestants in the past. No reason to expect this now.
My only hope is that Steven Tyler is coherent enough when Adam performs to realize that there were some amazing singers on past seasons --- and one is named Adam Lambert. Perhaps he can then reassess his opinion of "greatest".
