Hi guys!!! Missed you all so much! I'm back from a few days vacay. I already feel a bit of a stanfail because I don't remember this from last year. MTV's March Madness contest: 30 Seconds To Mars, Arcade Fire Lead MTV's Musical March Madness Excerpt: It's finally here. After 12 solid months of endless debate, speculation, open campaigning and a whole lot of accusatory e-mails from Tokio Hotel fans, at long last, we have reached the tip-off of MTV's 2011 Musical March Madness tournament. Get ready for a bit of band bracketology that pits the 64 acts that matter most in rock against one another, with ultimate glory (and a really nice trophy) on the line.
West A bracket loaded with talent (for the second straight year, it's probably the toughest field in the entire tournament), topped by 30STM but also featuring titans like #2 Blink-182, #3 Green Day, #6 U2 and #7 the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Panic! at the Disco/ Avril Lavigne matchup has all the markings of a classic, as does the 8/9 contest, which pits Pearl Jam against Train. Oh, and don't sleep on #14 Adam Lambert, who proved in last year's tournament that his fans definitely get out and vote. We actually like him as the favorite against Green Day. Link: www.mtv.com/news/articles/1659761/musical-march-madness-30-seconds-to-mars-arcade-fire.jhtml?xrs=share_twitterI think I do remember this from last year. Adam did really well, if I remember correctly. Should that link be put on the firts page for voting ease? I'm sure MTV wants many, many hits to their sure so multiple voting is encouraged. :D Notice that Yellow Card is also on there!

Adam #2: @afterelton AfterElton So @russelltovey is at #15 of your Top Gay Celebrities. Who came out on top? ht.ly/4e9ye4 minutes ago via HootSuite LOL, total fail on the album name. Made up for it a bit by the freakin gorgeous Grammy pic, tho... Adam Lambert (January 29, 1982 - age 29) was the runner up on the eighth season of American Idol. He came out officially in an interview with Rolling Stone soon after the competition ended. He released his debut album, For Your Consideration in late 2009 and embarked on a worldwide tour to support it. He is currently at work on a second studio album. He is ranked tenth on AfterElton's list of the Top 50 Gay Male Musicians. Link: ht.ly/4e9ye

About the discussion you had last night Adam Lambert Saying Being Normal Is Boring If anyone hasn't seen it look at him sayin pthhhhhhhh hahaha!! I loved that look on him! I think the vid above was from the same day as the Best Week Ever appearance. LOVED that. I'm sure everyone has seen that by now, but...(Adam part begins around :45, but the beginning is funny, too...) www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4bm_r0N7JAWondering why the vid didn't automatically embed like it used to on the other boards? Anyway, there really is endless stuff to entertain us while waiting for album #2. Also, just have to say that I ADORE the Lee Cherry photo of Adam on the banner on pg. 1 and the cover of the GNT live album. That may be close to the top of my list of favorites. And welcome back, NoAngel! I really enjoyed your last essay from a week ago -- very relevant to me.

Isn't this the one where there he did really well until he was matched up against Alice in Chains? Or maybe I'm remembering (or mis-remembering, as the case may be) something else.

Taking sometimes risks is good for you - at least I think it is better to have tried something out rather than be sorry for not having done something until it is way too late. It all could go wrong but hey, that's a priceless life experience anyway and there is always the future ahead for more of those. If you are that kind of a person, I mean . Zinnia, really like this part of your post. Wish I had taken more risks in my own past; hoping it's never too late! I've always felt strongly about trusting Adam to know what he needs to do creatively -- he has certainly shown that trust is warranted. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean I don't get nervous about it once in a while! Oh...and I agree with you about the leather! And I would hope that all opinions/topics are welcome as long as they're respectful. There's always scrolling.

Before everyone gets sidetarcked w/ all the Adam beauty, I have a question.
Are we supposed to be requesting the REMIX of Aftermath and has the track been released to the stations yet?????
Has anyone started requesting? I requested once Friday here at my local but not sure if it is useless.
Has anyone had success hearing tis single? just curious I see this question hasn't been answered yet. I want to know too! Since things are slow at the moment I'd like to post a few unrelated (to each other) thoughts: In the "backing away from Glam/Glitter" statement - Are all the fans with "Glam" or "Glitter" in their names going to change to a more leathery, authentic, honest name? J/K as I'm sure this is a temporary switch for him. Glam will be back! Probably sooner rather than later. When he told Perez Hilton that he may have "overcompensated" on the album, what do you think he meant? His singing? The song choices? The production? And finally - Do you think he's writing Adam2 as we speak write? Will we hear anything when he works with a big name writer/producer? Coming off sounding like an entitled fan I KNOW but I wonder if he's done anything beyond the couple of days with Ryan Tedder. "Others" have tweeted about being in the studio writing & recording and hinted about a single before Idol ends. Just putting it out there for opinions. If I'm being too pushy tell me to STFU.
