70 pages?!?!?!?!?! Y'all have a lot of feelings, eh?
But omgomgomgomgomg me toooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! I'm working and only have a second during my lunch break to stop by but the songs are running (runnin runnin runnin) through my head and so I end up looking like a total lunatic but who cares when the music is such perfection and we are the luckiest fans in the world????!!!!
I see people talking a lot about Underneath and that song kills me for sure, but there is something about Runnin that just grabs me by the heart. I'm a total lover of angst so you can imagine my feelings at the dark, angsty beginning and the driving, tribal, ominous beat. Like something out of a dark Western.
And those first lyrics: "Steel to my trembling lips. How did the night ever get like this? One shot and..."
... as you listen you can imagine this song going to the darkest place possible. A man at the end and at the edge. With purposefully enigmatic lyrics that lead you to think he might be about to destroy himself violently. Or at least, listening further, destroying himself one drop at a time.
Instead, we get a cry of desperate desire to emerge into whatever is beyond the darkness. And even though the singer is at the absolute bottom, Adam makes you believe that he can emerge. He's talking himself out of the dark and into the light. The drumbeat of doom turns into a rhythm of defiance and you can literally see Adam running away from the past and into a better future. It totally takes my breath away and blows my mind like no other song on this album. Only Adam can take a ballad of self-destruction and give it an arc that ends it in a place of empowerment.
OMG I worship this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm too overwhelmed with feeeelings to write anything coherent about the album just yet, But can I say that Seoulmate's song by song gif spam made my day. That was priceless. What a brilliant day here at Atop. I'm so overwhelmed by all the love for this album and Adam. The generosity of sharing with all and the new posters stories. About the VV article. I love that someone is putting what Adam is doing in historical perspective. Cassie's right, it's not a review, it not about the music, those are coming. And I agree about staying clear of making negative judgements on gay sites regarding Adam. It doesn't help him. But why not run with it? The writer is trying to get non fans to buy the album to give a little symbolic FU to the years of struggling gay musicians and crack a milestone that's long overdo. They want to start a viral campaign to get people to buy the album? Why not help and spread the link around to facebook if you have liberal friends, tweet it to people who are interested in gay rights. If it worked the end result would be more people hearing the awesome music. And selfishly I would love for Adam to be the one to break that particular barrier and I bet Adam would too.

Lol, ditto! He approached Sauli's cute little ass , and probably just stood in front of him until Sauli completely lost his mind. Both men have killer smiles... they blinded each other Did Adam say it's about that night, or just cruising in general? Sauli already said that Adam approached him and tapped him in the shoulder. Adam said in an interview that it's about cruising for sex in general, then in the InRock Japan he said one of the songs about Sauli is Shady, so who knows? I say let the imagination run WILD! Any wilder, Gelly, and I'd be posting from the CuckooLand :D Didn't Adam tweet that Jenny Woo 'ain't shady' once? I think he did, when a fan told him he couldn't believe he'd found love in a shady bar ... Am I hallucinating, Gelly?
