The reason I love Underneath so much is because I think that's the song where Adam bares his soul most, wears his heart upon the sleeve. He pleads there, and you can't say how much from the lyrics only, you have to listen to the song.... By the end, he begs ... " I'm standing here with no apologies... DO YOU SEE UNDERNEATH... WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF TRUTH ... LOOK AT ME, DO YOU SEE, LOOK AT ME, DO YOU SEE... I DON'T WANNA HIDE ANY PART OF ME FROM YOU." I didn't expect to love them all this much. Runnin and Nirvana are fantastic. Outlaws of Love has been unrightfully neglected in the pre-release discussions. Heart-breaking. Perfect. I still don't get Kickin In. The only song I didn't transfer to my phone. The album is testimonial. ETA LOL Anjalee, I second everything you said about Underneath!!! I can't bring myself to write anything, I have such a massive headache, pretending to be normal in the outside world, like nothing's happening when everything is, is not easy at all. Kickin in has a kind of 21st century, information age attention deficit disorder, zany feel. To me its sortve deliberately shallow=ish, and about drugs and drinks and hooking up in bars. I like it because it has an Adam clubkid scenario feel about it. He's letting s into that kind of experience in his life. Honey are yo up there" is so" easy to imagine him saying to a hot mess at the bar who is heading for a hook up. And who, it trns out, he is tempted to join! My fave line is "am i about to do a three?" Because well, yo syddnely realise the singer himself is not quite in control of the scene lol! Kickin' in is one of my top two favorite songs along with Shady at this point. I think the multiple sounds are so interesting and unexpected, the production is craaazy good and the song perfectly recreates the buzz of of drinking and dancing, that point where you are giddy with joy, feeling totally one with your body, cracking up at the crazy people you are talking too, and a little bit reckless, ready to take a chance which might end in a ridiculous story, or might end in lifetime of love  . I've had the two major (positive) turning points in my life begin at moments just like this, which is also why I also love pop that lock which combines spiritual liberation and empowerment with dirty dance. |

hi mys*&@^#r, been meaning to ask what exactly do I do to txt for KBIG? Never done that before (i know bad stan). Is 31043 the number I txt to? Do I put NCOE as the song to request - any specific text i should use? Sorry for being useless here. :-[

I was prepared for this day and I was well organized so I would have nothing to do expect flail but I'm BEAT! 17 HOURS WITH AN HOUR BREAK IS TOO MUCH TO HANDLE!! Gotta get some sleep. Thank you ALL guys for this amazing day I got to spend with you! Really thank you. Good night   |

79 pages??? And I've only now heard all the songs...once..vet day for cat but he's fine.... My first gut reaction is ...THE VOICE..it's almost a sensory overload, but I'll bask in that. Adam totally came through..the voice front and center, for the most part. Let me remember not to tell a song by its snippet. Some surprises..sneaky Adam. Only wish I might have had is that BTIKM and NCOE would have been in the stream in order because they IMO have their own critical positions in the flow of the album. Adam is now the proud Papa of Quindecaplets +2, last count...google can't seem to comprehend the scope of Trespassing either.. ;D  Thank you, Adam. I just dragged them in and put them in the right order. Thanks, Lynne!! I do think they make a difference..I noticed it in the snippets.  |

It is not that this is so hard to understand, it is the mixed messages we get regarding what is wanted, in this respect .... I think this is a great discussion to have, and here is a great place to have it. I think many of us feel like we are 'damned if we do and damned if we don't'. As Adam said: Whataya want from me? I LIKE what you say about trying to show that it doesnt matter to us. But I do think if you arent part of an attacked minority you cant really understand what they go through. So why not give them some space to be a bit pained and not see our good intentions every time. We who dont have to deal with the daily BS they deal with are so privileged. These wounds go deep. That said, im not saying we shouldnt explain our intentions - just that our hurt at being misunderstood is nothing compared to theirs. This is killing me and I have to comment , so please SCROLLanjalee have none of us been a woman in a man's world or fat in a skinny world or old in a young world or black in a white world or muslim in a christian world. Empathy does not require that we be gay in a straight world to understand, only that we reach out and share the experience so that we can understand each other. No one gets a pass on that. |

Well Adam has led me to another unproductive day as I cannot pull myself away from my computer, this forum, and THE MAGICAL AWSOME Trespassing....I have a few favorites but none that I skip over...it feels so good to say unequivocally that this is really, really good. Underneath....Shady....Running are now tied for favorites but...that could change....loving Nirvana at the moment....which means Trespassing is coming up again! yay
