Slow day is slow and I am bored at work so I will throw out a DISCUSSION STARTER question. For the next album, if you could choose a collaboration for Adam to have on the record who would it be with and why? MUST be someone living but it can be a singer, musician, producer, even a music video director or something along those lines. Now......ENTERTAIN ME! =) I definitely want to see him work with the music video director that did the FYE vid. That is my favorite over the WWFM and IIHY vids. |

Damn, no e-mail for me yet! I knew I shouldn't have upgraded when they sent me that e-mail last weekend. Now I'm probably at the bottom of the list! :( I haven't gotten an email either! im still confused about the upgrade thing. Is it for people that just got the dvd and wanted to upgrade to the tour pack...not something special that is added extra with the tour pack! |

I wonder who he would sound good with. Interesting because he could make his sound change at will. What tone would mesh?
I often wonder if many people want to sing with him because of the comparisons. Many will be bigger names, but few, if any, with equal vocals.

Joshua Kadison. He is a great storyteller/songwriter. You might have heard "Jessie," or a couple of my favorites, "Amsterdam," and "Delilah Blue." he does not have the greatest voice(but who does compared to AFL?) if anyone knows where I can get a digital version of the Delilah Blue CD, please let me know. Not on iTunes. I had two CDs but one got damaged when I was sorting stuff for moving, and the other I wore out.

I would love to see him collaborate with Elton John but I am more interested in Elton's ability to write great tunes than his singing. Obviously. Adam can write great lyrics...Elton's weakness I assume as he had Taupin write lyrics as a rule....and what Adam needs is a good tune. He can modernize and adapt but the tunes do not seem to come so easily. Elton's contacts wouldn't hurt either.....:-)

Just go my e-mail form AO- my GNT Live DVD has shipped!!! How long do we think it will take to get to the Midwest. Less than a week, right? I can't wait. me too \o/ I'm not getting excited though because when I order from them my stuff always takes a long time. The original FYE deluxe set took them more than 2 weeks. And my calendar took over 2 weeks from ALF which I know is a different shipper. I guess I'm not supposed to buy so much Adam stuff  My calendar arrived 5 weeks after it was shipped. I am pretty certain I will be flailing by myself  |

Oh and Murly.....that made me chuckle. How long ya been sitting on that? (laughing with you). Sometime after season 8 ended, my brother made me a CD of Adam's songs from the show. I noticed then that when Adam sings high and sweet, as in Tracks of My Tears, his voice reminds me of Micky's. I was a Monkees fan from the ages of 11 to 14 so I'm very familiar with Micky's voice! Micky is nowhere near as versatile or strong of a singer as Adam; it's the tone of their voices that I find similar at times. Heads up, Cheeks fans: JaneEspenson Jane Espenson Just got word.
