popdust.com/2012/05/08/adam-lamberts-trespassing-reviewed-never-close-our-eyes/NCOE Review: .....when Lambert’s name slips off the credits, the quality slips as well. Adam does his best with what he’s given, growling and stressing and gospel-belting his way through lines too cliched for him. The problem’s not him, it’s the material–which is particularly baffling, considering there are at least five better singles on this thing. One of them is right after this. (Kickin In?) ...as some of us were saying all along.... after listening to the album I can honestly say that I officially hate US radio and the politics behind the business... mediocrity rules... ...I can only hope that this is the LAST time that Adam had to compromise and have TWO subpar songs released as HIS singles, totally misrepresenting the album - IMO Not only Adam is robbed, but all the "unsuspecting" masses are as well... - IMO WE are lucky, WE KNOW HIM AND HIS MUSIC.... I am promoting his as much as I possibly can...

Here's my take on ZIAT: Adam has a voice like a god, i.e. Zeus. He also is one hedonistic over the top performer that oozes sex, thus the ref to him wearing a thong, which is most revealing. I think Rob Sheffield read the interview with Adam before he wrote his review. Adam talks about orgies..................... I think you're absolutely right. However, in my humble opinion, Sheffield picked the wrong god. To me, Adam is more an Orpheus, able to charm all living things and even stones with his music.

I subscribe to RS and I don't have mine yet. Could be my postal worker's bag was too heavy today. I get it on a wide variety of days, so I asked. That's what he said. My RS arrives every Thursday. It should be in stores Friday.

mike lordel @mikelordel THE WORLD IS YOURS: Adam Lambert – Trespassing (2012) - #wibiya www.therealstevegray.com/2012/05/buy-adam-lamberts-trespassing-or-adam-lambert-brings-the-album-back/THIS IS MY CAPSULE REVIEW – JUST LISTEN TO THE ALBUM AND THEN YOU WILL WANT TO BUY IT TOO OWN AS IT IS JUST SHEER FUNK SOUL MOTHER FUCKING BRILLIANT. WOW. That was my first thought on finishing ‘Trespassing’. He has dance hits, he has radio ready hits, he has love songs and he plummets to the depth of his soul for the ‘real shit’. I did not expect the album to be this good. Adam’s first album was rushed and just seemed like a collection of songs with no theme. Lambert has surpassed himself here, making the most complete album of ideas and emotions for years. Right from the first song Adam is laying it all on the line, dancing up a storm in your pants with the very cool title track ‘Trespassing’….. More Oh yes. Adam Fucking Lambert is laying it on the line. North Carolina has just become the 30th state to ban gay marriage; or, should I say, proclaim that "marriage is only between a man and a woman". Well. We have the key to pop that lock. Time to get busy and get loud. I promise to do more than dance this time around. I saw that on the news and one banner got to me. "Save marriage in NC, ban same sex marriages" WTF, with today's divorce rate, they need to look inward to themselves. Nothing will save marriage in general , unless you are 2 committed people who care and love each other and are willing to take the good with the bad. Didn't that sleaseball presidential candidate that is being tried for misusing campaign funds on his affair, who had his baby, while his wife is dying of cancer come from NC. Yeah way to save marriages.

My take on this is that this interview (the part with Adam) was done BEFORE he got started on the radio tour. I think that his radio tour memories from FYE era were full of lots of assanine DJ's and fucked up weird shit. I think he ended up having a lot more fun on this go round because for the most part the DJ's were not nearly as idiotic and the fans really touched him. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts post-radio tour. It did seem as though a lot of the douchiness we saw in FYE era was gone or dialed back. I still think he has to walk on eggshells when he does these things. The "gay bff" comment is telling. I'm guessing he feels he has to present himself as unthreatening and accessible. It was evident in the clothes he wore and the answers he gave on-air. Pretty obvious he was being careful and watching his words. And more and more he's dropping hints about the bs that is the behind-the-scenes radio game. I'll bet it's even uglier than we can imagine. Really looking forward to the tell-all autobiography in 25 years.

Overall, it's a great interview. Read it. Thought about it. Accepted the honesty of the interview. Radio, label, and A&R are a bit of "fucked up retail". It's retail where you don't put out your best stuff to sell your product line. The single BTIKM make some sense. The video is a perfect lead in for the rest of the album promo. In fact, BTIKM fits well for a buzz single. NCOE, as sung by Adam, is a good song, but it doesn't represent Tresspassing, the Album. Everyone who has heard the streams will hear that. It's Adam singing a Bruno Mars cover. Of course, Adam can sing anything. I am going to support the hell out of NCOE because the rest of Tresspassing deserves to be heard. In this case, the end had better sure as hell justify the means. YMMV I so agree with you about NCOE. I thought it was a bit off in with all the songs on the album. It's a good song but I think Adam's first thought was correct about not sure if it would fit in. Radio politics sucks!! he had to compromise with his decision to do whatever it takes to get his music play on the radio. To me NCOE should have been in the bonus track and have Runnin' as part of the album.

So sad that on this glorious day on so many levels for Adam, NC passed the bill to deny civil rights for the LGBT community. As soon as the CA one is declared unconstiitutional, they will all go away!
